Brilliant lesson. I’ve watched 50 demos for this ME80 and not one person showed the looper. Thank you

To stop start the looper you press the delay Pedal twice and quickly to stop playback. Then press once to restart it.

Can you control the volume of the loop with the pedal like the me70?
@ScottHz2 жыл бұрын
No, you can't restart the loop - it's only add an overdub with one click, or stop and erase with two clicks. (maybe you meant 'restart' as in restart recording, to record a new phrase?)

I visited here to learn how to use my ME-90 looper. And, from what I've found is that everyone that demonstrates these devices does so on a desk. I currently have mine on my desk. This is going to be very difficult in a live performance setting. I bought my device because I didn't want to have to purchase pedals and build a pedalboard myself. Now I realize that it still doesn't matter how I reproduce the collection of pedals, I still have to figure out all these knobs and buttons ahead of time. Thanks for the video, now I go figure out to do this in performance.

You're able to adjust the sensitivity of the stomp that is required to change from volume pedal to effects pedal. The instruction book explains.

I do not have this pedal, but I do have several 1 button loopers. Press one time on the down beat of the 1and recording starts. Next press down on the 1 and recording stops and playback starts. Press 1 time down on the 1 again to overdub. Next press down on the 1 and recording stops and playback starts. Any press and hold during playback will erase the previously recorded overdub. Quick double press at any time to stop. Any press and hold while stopped will reset the looper and prepare to start again. Try this out on this unit and see if it works. I am curious.

No, none of that works with this looper, it only works exactly like I show it, strange but true🤷♂️

Great video mate ! Actually works for me, to stop the loops, double press .. I found that out reading the manual 😅😅
@ScottHz2 жыл бұрын
The manual doesn't say there is any functionality to pressing and holding the loop button. 2. Press the [DELAY] pedal. Recording starts as soon as you press the [DELAY] pedal (the pedal’s indicator flashes rapidly). 3. Press the [DELAY] pedal again. Recording ends. As soon as recording stops, repeated playback of what’s been recorded starts, and the pedal’s indicator lights continuously ... 6. Press the [DELAY] pedal twice quickly to stop the playback. The unit returns to recording standby. MEMO • Press the [DELAY] pedal twice within the span of one second. • When playback ends, the recorded data is deleted.

Great video. Can you please explain how to use the looper in memory mode?
@HeyImTyyy Жыл бұрын
It's basically the same exact thing in memory mode. Tap once to record, tap to layer, double tap to erase. The only reason he wants to be in manual mode is to have more variety of sounds on the fly when looping. Try changing to a different patch when looping, you might be able to do that but don't be surprised if it leaves the looping tool.

Unrelated question I know, but would massively appreciate a perspective. How does this unit fare when it comes to home recording, and what method do you use. I love it as a pedal and for cool features such as you have demonstrated here but also need something for high quality home recording. Hence the conflict.

@@TheSoundTestRoom Thanks for the reply anyways what I wanted to ask was is this device same as Boss RC300 where it has multiple tracks (Track 1, Track 2 and Track 3) and on each track you can have unlimited overdubs. Is it like that? Cos I saw couple of pedals on this and was just wondering. To be honest, I'm looking for a multiple track looper. Anyway thanks mate, cheers

Creo que no hay forma de poder detener el LOOP y luego volver a reproducir este LOOP. Apenas toco 2 veces rápido el pedal, todo lo grabado se borra y no hay forma de recuperarlo :(
@kentaccordionist2 жыл бұрын
Just downloaded and searched through the manual and there is no way to stop and start playback of the loop, or to save it. Maybe you could ask Roland if the would be so kind as to send you a boss RC505 mk2 to review, it’s absolutely the best looper on the market for synths. But at just under 500 pounds it sure ain’t cheap.

It's awful that you cannot replay the loop you created after stopping it. Makes this feature basically unusable for live performance. This is a huge downfall of this pedal. Too bad because every thing else is great!
