Some advice? As a beginner to effects and pedals would something like this be better than a GT1 or 100 as I can see each pedal individually and get used to it and learn it without having to go through all kinds of presets and menus. Thanks in advance.

Try on PC settings... I was using Boss ME25 for 5 years, good sounds but bit confusing for a beginer without manual books.. Now I'm using Nux MG

@@arghyabakshi85 The mg 30 has a lot of features, but for authentic sound I prefer the boss + external IR . The simple thing is that if you are used to listening to classic and old rock tones, you will like Boss's tones. Choose the MG30 if you want a more modern sound and patching. For now, try Nux Trident. This pedal has a better sound than the MG30, like it is more saturated. Between the Nux Trident and the Boss ME90, it's hard for me to choose.

I use the regular 1/4 inch output but stick a 3.5mm jack into the headphone out which engages the speaker emulation. It makes a world of difference.

Press and Hold the 'exit' button and rotate the knob for viewing the last parameters... Might help you for Boss with this kind of digital screen... I was using Boss ME25 and switching to Nux MG300, it has modern tone but not gold as original digital/analog Boss...
