I don't know if they changed the rules with the years but the rules say that "If the result above is still a tie, the player with the lowest XP value wins" regards ties when both players have the same amount of wounds

It is LOWEST XP VALUE WOULD WIN IN A TIE. This would happen after you minus wounds from souls and find that it is still a tie. That is correct right?

(5:50) *Correction:* Pack-in and online documentation state the following for tie games: "... then the player with the lowest XP is the winner." It's possible that "highest XP" was correct at the time this video was recorded (2019). House rules - You bought the game, play it however you want, as long as everyone agrees.

4:30 you're saying the mage survives, you have a dizzygas room before a trap room, that mage is dead because the room has +2 damage. Furthermore you played a +3 damage to monster room spell on top of a trap room and made it seem like it works when it doesn't.

Once you start playing it makes a lot more sense. It isn't a very complicated game once you know it, but the rules are definitely tricky to explain/learn.

When multiple heros are adventuring does each room do damage to each hero or only the undefeated rooms have damage to give?

Each hero has to face every room separately. So every room does damage to every hero unless the room is destroyed by one of its abilities or any other text on that room.

Hi everyone, I’ve started playing recently and I have a dozen of questions, some of them can be answerred by simply agreeing that what happens is caused by the fact that my boyfriend and I raised the final score to 20 souls or 10 wounds. If so, is there a way to extend the gameplay? It kinda sucks that the game ends right when it becomes fun. So basically: 1. Can a typical room be built over another typical room? If so, what’s the maximum amount of rooms one can build? 2. Can an advanced monster room be built over a typical trap room, as long as the treasure symbol matches? 3. When an advanced room is built, does the typical room underneath keep any powers, damage or treasure symbol? Or does it only keep damage and treasure symbol? 4. Can a miniboss be built over/under advanced room? 5. What happens if opponent deactivates your room, which is a typical room underneath an advanced room? Does it mean the whole room slot, or one room? What happens if opponent destroys your typical room underneath an advanced room? Or again, does it refer to the entire room slot? 6. Monster Playground advanced monster room card: do covered (i.e. typical by advanced) rooms count towards this card’s effect? (your amount of monster rooms = damage this card deals) 7. If a typical room gets destroyed, does advanced room stay on the slot as first? or Again, does ‘destroy room’ mean the whole slot. 8. EQUIPMENT: Can hero equipment be browsed through every turn, and players can choose one active in said turn effect? 9. PROTOPLASTS (unsure of the name in English version - the 20 HP Leg Hero that invades dungeon with the most treasure symbols - the question is: total amount of symbols, i.e. 4 bags, 3 books, 2 swords = 9 symbols, or amount of different symbols, in this case 3?

I have few questions: 1 can i play spells before i place a room in the building phase? 2 since the active player has priority on abilities resolution, does that mean that counterspell does not work if played on another active player's spell?

1. The rules only specify that the spell must be played DURING the phase listed on the card (build or adventure). So, I would interpret that as before or after the room is placed. Some may say the build phase begins with the placement of a room, but I think that if the spell timing was an issue the developer would have explicitly stated it. 2. This one is a little blurry. I would say that Counterspell would still work on the target spell, but the active player has priority, so they can counter it with other spells if they can/want to.
