OMG!!!! I got a new Bose L1 Pro 8 sound system and am wanting to use my RC 300 with it. When I hooked it up on Friday at a local venue, the sound was completely muffled and I couldn't hear anything hardly at all. It threw me off completely for the whole night. So I've been googling what do to and how to fix it. I came across this video and didn't think it was the solution, but I thought... can't hurt. IT TOTALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!! now all my loops are clear and crisp and I can eq and set the levels individually!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! (yes, I'm yelling with joy and gratefulness). I was so sad that I couldn't use the looper with the bose. I thought it was a setting on the speaker, but nope... the problem was having all 3 tracks going through the same output. This makes me so happy!!! I can actually use the looper now!!! I'm not great at it yet, but I have a small setlist that I can use it on. So excited!!! Thank you again... and many more times!!!

Great explanation indeed! Apparently sometimes it won't work but then it's because the system output settings of the tracks are set to main/sub and this overrules the local track settings. In the system settings it should be set to "memory" (go to these settings by pressing the system button and scrolling to the pages for tracks 1, 2 and 3).

I setup the RC-300 to do the same for drum practice with each track going to individual amplifiers. The challenge sometimes is to maintain timing. The RC-300 transmits MIDI clock data at all times. I configured an Arduino to receive the MIDI data and control a strip of LEDs to flash the 1/4 notes so that a visual "click" is provided when the start is activated.

WOW!! mind blown!! i almost want to re-do my whole set up now.. almost.. I knew about the left and right (there is a way to add 3 more individual loops, but you gotta have the same length per channel, and alot of triggers).. The only issue i have with this is the Mic (XLR input) does not go to left or right, it's only both.. in my set up.. Mic - XLR (voc/percussion) Left input - Guitar (octave/ distortion) Aux - Ipad (keyboard/drums) Main out goes to me (my speaker, 12 inch QSC) so i have volume control over feed back from the mic ). I tell them, no monitors (just me) SUB out to FOH - in which can turn up or down ......... Hear me out here.. unless you have the BEST sound guy ever in the end it's all up to you right? I Do really like this tho!! it's has 4 separate outs now... WOW!! when you think you know everything someone always has something to teach you lol.. Thanks!!

Love it!! So, for me in a live setting, I would run all these outputs to an onstage mixer and monitor that I control. Then I can dial me in perfectly as I would need it. I can also DI box every output, meaning I run a line to my mixer AND a line to front of house. That way I get my perfect mix and the front of house can do his thing.

OK. I only picked up the RC300 last week. This is super confusing to me. I'm going into my pedal board, into my looper, and back to the desk for my solo shows. Do I need this? or is this more for people who have sound techs mixing their stuff?
@MarcAllredVideos3 жыл бұрын
It all depends on how/why you use it. If you check a bunch of my other videos I show how to use the pedal to loop full songs etc.

@@MarcAllredVideos I don't think I was ready to go this in depth with it to be honest haha. I'm moving from the Ditto looper to the RC300 and I'm getting completely overwhelmed with everything. But your videos are really helping.

Is there away to assign inputs to specific outputs. Let’s say I want my xlr in to only go through the left sub out. Is that possible?

Would it be possible to still have the "overall stuff" on the main right for example? I'm using the rc 300 with a kemper and I would need to return the overall signal back to the kemper for its fx return. I don't know if this would work since I set all the tracks to a specific out with the output Jack's or am I missing something here?

This was a great lesson. Thankyou for that, though I am just researching loopers at this time. Are those three cords then being routed into a mixer/ mixing board. or going into your amp?

Hope you find the looper that best suits you! The outputs can go to whatever you want like a daw, mixer, amp, di boxes, etc.

I am scouring through the comments to see if this was already asked, but didn't see it: Why did you do the mute? That part confused me. Also, I have reassigned my FX button to become a Mic Mute on/off, could I reroute that Mic signal to a separate output as well?

Hi! I have a question: Can you pan your microphone input hard left or hard right with the RC300 in order to assign one specific output to it? I can't seem to find out... Thanks!

do you know how to hear a audio input but not record that ? i have a drum machine e want to hear the beat but not record (i dont have a mixer yet and i have pluged my phones on the rc300 only, thanks!
@MarcAllredVideos2 жыл бұрын
It has to not run through the loop station. Whatever you have coming into the station will be looped. So you’d have to have the drum machine playing through your PA or DAW or something else.

Thanks Marc. Saw the additional video. Both very helpful. Is there a way to make the individual outputs global so that you don't have to program them on every single patch (1-99)? Thanks

Marc- 2 questions. Finally got around to trying this. It works but the problem is the "MUTE" doesn't seem to work after the initial setting. Also, is there a way to also assign the right of the main output to the built in drums of the rc300? So if I’m using say for ex- “Simple Beat 2” it too can have its own separate out? Thanks Man. Great info!!

Hi, this seems a good solution if you want to route individual tracks..But, I need to route three different inputs to three different outputs, is it possible without being tied to the tracks? I know for certain that the headrush looperboard allows this without one having to worry about which track is using. But I am reading a lot of complains about it, bugs, freezing, issues with software, price ecc.. please help!

Can someone tell me if there is the possibility of using the click completely separate from the audio signal when recording a loop?

I've been wondering that one too. I'd be nice to have a click, like in an ear monitor, to help record live.

Hey thanks for doing this video. A novice with this sort of thing but...why would you mute your input out? I’m trying to play on top of my loops. How does that work if you’re muted?
@MarcAllredVideos3 жыл бұрын
Good question, I meant to explain that at the end of the video but forgot! The way the RC300 is set up, you can't route your live guitar output signal through just one output jack, like I route the looped tracks. The live guitar output comes out stereo. That means you'd have a live output AND one of the loop tracks coming out of the same jack. My personal solution is that I split my live output from my effects before running it to the RC300. One signal goes to my RC300 and another one to the PA or mixer. It's a good question you're asking. Did my answer make sense?

Ah this is extremely helpful! I’m about to get my RC-300 in the mail this week and mess around with it a bit before playing my song live which is just simply impossible with my current RC-1 looper I’ve been using for years to practice. I can’t wait to adjust my settings and route my guitar/vocals and inputs. I do have one question though. I’m going to be looping my rhythm guitar over a violin audio track from my iPad should I route them to the same output ? I was thinking I should route my vocals and effects to a separate PA and my guitar parts to my boss amp but what I’m seeing a lot of guitarists do is they use stereo speakers and no just to a mono amp for the guitar parts. Maybe I should rethink my method and mess around a bit before playing it live
