Bruh, the baby was always there. Baby dragons are invisible. You can hear it cry and you see its souls leaving as Oceiros smashes it against the ground. Ocelotte is there and isn’t any cut content.

This boss is more fucked up than people realize. He was suppose to be carrying a baby during the fight then kills it when you get its health down. You can hear the baby's scream and him crushing it to death. But it was too intense so FROM took it out.

Actually all they did was make the baby invisible, you can still see and hear it bring killed once osieros enters phase 2. When he does this and slams his hand down furiously there's huge explosions of blood followed by screaming and the baby crying more than before. Literally all they did is make the child invisible like other half dragons in the series.

To you all that care for the lore, the community (using the canon lore and speculation based on canon lore) has basically broken down the lore of *[Oceiros the Consumed King]*, this is just the basic for your understanding: 1- *Oceiros* is the king of *Lothric* 2- *King Oceiros* sons are *Prince Lorian*, *Prince Lothric* 3- *King Oceiros* wife was/is (probably) *Gwynevere* 4- *King Oceiros* became obsessed with *Seath the Scaless* research on *Crystal Magic* and wanted to become a dragon, knowing it wouldn't be possible for him to do it, he decided to create another heir, so he/she could be a perfect dragon 5- After many attempts *King Oceiros* had an heir (*Ocelotte*), but the child was weak and frail, keeping itself invisible for most of the time (the power of crystals allows dragons and half dragons to create invisible objects or to become invisible) 6- *King Oceiros* became crazy 7- *Queen Gwynevere* left *King Oceiros* and the kingdom of *Lothric* 8- *King Oceiros* trows everything away, including his duty as a king to take care of his heir, he and *Ocelotte* were now living closely to his research with dragons 9- Nothing goes right as *Ocelotte* is not showing to have any signs of endless draconic power and that angers the mad king, now consumed by his hunger for power, now he is known as *Oceiros the Consumed King*

Bonus game design info about this fight: Originally the baby Ocelote was intended to be visible in this fight. At the start of phase 2 if you turn down all sound to 0 and ambient sound to max you can here a *sploosh* kind of sound. Oceiros drops Ocelote who is a very malformed looking half dragon that resembled a stillborn fetus. He loses his shit because he's blind and dropped his heir and can't find him. Before the game hit launch they were told it was too much and had to censor Ocelote. They just made him invisible but kept Oceiros' hand in phase one in a holding position to let us know Ocelote was there and alive along with the baby crying sound effects.

That charge attack Oceiros does is mind-blowingly ridiculous. There's no wind-up or anything, he just suddenly accelerates from 0-60 in about 0.1 seconds. Very unnatural. I might let him off if I could see his legs tense up before he immediately bursts forward but there's no warning when it happens, so the only way to dodge it is to be at a distance which gives you enough time to react when you see him moving towards you.

Personally I don't find him hard at all, but I also feel the nameless king is quite easy to(the camera in 1st stage is bs tho)But I suck at fighting dancer and dragon slayer armour, who most people probably think are easy. I also feel that Sister freide, gael, and midir arent that bad. It all depends on rng and the way a person plays

One thing I really like about this series is the variety of fights and fight styles. For example, we have humanoid enemies that are either the size of a human, like Sister Friede, or humanoids that are big and strong, like a god. But they don't always fight like, well, humans. O & S have a really unique vibe with their lightning fast moves or slow smashes, then Champion Gundyr charges and strikes with enough force to cleave the ground and wound your character further. Then we have Lorian, who teleports in order to make up for his crippled legs, and Gael and Artorias, who fight like beasts. Even the dragon fights are varied. Kalameet and Midir make use of fire break and darkness to smite you, while Oceiros is more of an imperfect dragon. You can't forget about the King of Storms either, who flies around and creates walls of wind to blow you over.

To everyone thinking Ocelotte is an hallucination and that his death was cut: Pay attention. When Oceiros smashes his hands on the ground there's an energy surge at the center similiar to when an enemy dies and vanishes. At first, I found Oceiros to be easy. But on NG+3, when I just wanted to kill him fast and go to Champion Gundyr, Oceiros suddenly kicked my ass like hell. I was playing mage, and he was rushing me from the other side of the map faster, than I could even charge a spell. For some reason, he was the hardest boss for me on NG+3. Watch Lobosjr Ds3 SL1 run, Oceiros just rekt him there.

That imaginary baby Oceiros is holding is a figment of his insanity, clearly something traumatic happened that made him not accept that his son is gone. And something in the atmosphere is making you hear a baby's cry. What about the cries? This is third time From Software has a baby crying when there is no baby in sight. In fact the only time of these three that comes close to that is the chalice queen boss from Bloodborne, and that's only because the real her is pregnant. And her baby's cry can be heard and is one of her attacks.

A lot of people who would have wanted it the other way are either suckers for this, are more intrigued about the *potential* itself instead of the content, or you got those ninnies who think ANY cut content is some sort crime regardless of what was cut and why. I mean they will conflate this with whatever bullshit Destiny or EA has cut only to make it DLC later.

pancakerzzz ive used 2 different weapons dragon slayer great axe and old demon kings hammer i use dragon slayers axe more but to some bosses res to lightning i use it for that! the dragonslayer armor became lot harder allmost died once! Allmost... and im on ng+1 im gonna get both dlcs next week im not gonna go to jorney 3 because im not gonna fucking kill midir or gael in ng+2 and ng+3!

So, Ocelotte was in Oceiros' hand during battle, and Oceiros slams his hand into the ground (the one with Ocelotte) and becomes more animal-like for phase 2. So, we know why Ocelotte is invisible.

Its so annoying that they had to make the story so confusing because of censorship: you can't kill children and babies in video games so of course they could not show Oceiros smashing his son in the ground. Obviously these guys can't get what the hell those cries are

Yeah but the kid is still alive in phase 2, whereas Oceiros must have smashed him in the ground with his hand because he became less human and more beastly. Invisibility easily explains the first phase only, but NO WAY that kid is alive in phase 2.

Again, the child is only invisible, if you pay attention the child is still smashed into the ground. And as for the phase two thing, half dragons I'm the ds series are very resilient, his more resilient body helped him survive, but as a baby he still cried, its the natural thing to do as an infant who got hurt

Oceiros is actually fuckin creepy as shit in the uncut version. He's holding a baby thing and fuckin slams it into the ground during second phase! Then walks to you crushing it over and over while it screams.

The reason why the baby is invisible is because it is half dragon and they have the ability to turn invisible and when he crushes it it's still "alive" and that's why you can still hear it

Just goes to show how everyone struggles with different bosses based on their play style and build. I've never had any trouble with Oceiros, but I think that's mostly because I play with a free camera whenever possible. I really only lock on to the bosses that feel like they were designed specifically to be dodged while locked on (e.g. nameless king phase 2, lorian/lothric, abyss watchers, etc). That helps a lot with beast bosses like Vordt, Oceiros, Greatwood, and Dancer because they all benefit a lot from the extra mobility given how important that positioning is to their fights and avoiding damage.

Fun fact btw, if you get hit with an attack from Oceiros's left hand, sometimes your FP will get drained, which is why many of them have absolutely zero FP instead of only have a tiny bit left.

Though arguably one of the/the easiest boss/bosses in the game, he's definitely my favorite for the lore and overall story of it. Just knowing that he originally was supposed to have a baby as the overprotective father that he kills himself makes which turn insane is all the more emotional and creepily amazing. Definitely my favorite boss in all of DS 3 next to Sister Friede. Edit: awful grammar...
