Absolutely love the lore for this boss. The idea of the darkness driving him slowly ever more mad as the eons tick on and the world falls further and further into ruin, yet he still holds his duty to the last, even as his body fills with corruption from the inside out. Reminds me of the Abyss watchers forever trying to cleanse themselves of the Abyss.
