The guitar tone on Can't Get This Stuff No More has always intrigued me, it sounds brash and cutting but also crystal clean at the same time. Especially the mad outro groove. Great work as always Pete!

I love Pete not only for his playing but for his in depth explanations. Not only does he explain everything in detail, if you pay close attention he has physically and incrementally removed the amp heads in the background and rewired everything as he compared the W/D/W vs the Stereo setup vs the Mono setup. This is great news! Dude... what you played on the EVH guitar around 1:03 was sick. I love the way this delay compliments the amp tone and that it has line level settings, W/D/W, and a noise gate! Smart move on Boss' part to have your ears on the team. The Suhr amps were absolutely nailing the VH tone in a 15 watt head. This unit should make old school wah/ delay guys like me super happy.

I had two of those in the late 80, early 90's in my rack system. Dummy me, I sold them. I loved those SDE-3000s... even loved the way they looked in my rack. I still have an SDE-1000, which is extremely clean and basically the same unit, just a scaled-down version of the SDE-3000. But Like I said, I kick myself now for getting rid of those SDE-3000s. GREAT delays. Very cool, Mr. Thorn!

This can be used for the 5150 and 0U812 tour eras as well…Ed started using the SDE-3000s on the 5150 tour, but they weren’t used with a center dry cab until 1990 when Matt started working for him.

Pair with the Eventide MicroPitch pedal in front of it and you should have that Hagar era EVH tone. I have an Eventide H9 fully loaded and have been getting by with a pair of BOSS DD-2s. The lure to upgrade here is in those presets and the ability to run wet-dry-wet direct out from this thing... I don't have the amps to do that, but I want the ability to :)
