This is easily one of the best demos of this thing. It actually had synth style attack.

That looks like so much fun, but I doubt it would ever leave my house and would sadly end up being more of a toy than a functional piece of my setup with my band.

Ryan Perry I would use this to record loops on a loop pedal. My band uses synth samples between songs and this could come in hand y for me. Playing live Idk.

My biggest problem with these sorts of pedals is that the majority of the presets I would never use (vile sounding) but has the all analogue function lacking in the Source Audio C4 (6 presets max I think, outside of MIDI use)

This is what I need (we play things like Cars by Gary Newman on guitar/bass) but I can't justify around £600 Sterling right now!! Probably the lead guitarist should have one too!

Amazing demo and amazing pedal!! Really thinking to buy one, especially because it's polyphonic so, good for tapping stuff!! But now i want to ask you if you also will do a Panda Audio Future Impact demo!! :-D Really wish that you will do!! :-D

I got one of these a few months back. Way too organic (in an amazing way). Have not encountered any latency whatsoever. If it does have any, it's way too dismal for the human ear to decipher.

He says it's, "Latency-free", but he's not doing any fast runs or displaying any patches with a short quick attack to demonstrate that. I'd like to hear how well it tracks playing faster with something like a marimba patch. I'm guessing it doesn't do it too well.

It does extremely well. I play some pretty fast grooves at times and have never had a problem with tracking or latency. I was looking for an octave pedal and everything was useless below an A, This will go two octaves down and two octaves up. I can open E and it never searches or wavers until get to two octave down A. Factory patches are useless for bass and where it is worth every penny is when you take time to learn to program your own sounds. Basically a three oscillator analog synth with most every programmable pedal you would use. Tired of a dry bass? Add a touch of whatever type of reverb you want, a touch of soft delay, a bit of whatever brand of compression you like (each programmable and can be assigned to whichever oscillator you want or all three and place each effect in whatever order you wish) and you have a personal tone all your own with a click. Or just bypass. Biggest problem with it is most are too lazy to experiment with it to see what it is truly capable of. For $700, you would have to spend many thousand $ in individual pedals that come near to what this can do. And with one pedal without 20 6" patch cables. Plus, it will midi into a midi controller pedal. Midi does not drive other external units. And it's stereo, also, with a bypass output so I can run three separate bass amps at the same time. I run left into an Eden Traveler 550 driving a D2X10XST and a D410XST and right into an Eden Time Traveler 405 driving a Mesa Diesel with 2X15 EV 15L's and bypass dry into whatever amp I like dry. Adjust each amp for best tone and balance volume of each and the tone is awesome. No compromise. But I mostly use just one amp mono and which amp depends on where I am playing and what kind of music. Just saying it is capable of all the other, which I do have set up at home. It's not for everyone, but for those that like something different and don't want to be like all the rest, it's awesome for the money. And I have no connections whatsoever with Boss or Roland or any company, for that matter. I just love to expand my abilities and to experiment with different things :)

"Midi does not drive other external units" - This still might be a deal breaker for me, since I don't like to be limited to on board sounds. I currently use Roland GK3B PUP with an older GR33 and piccolo strings on my bass. This combo gives me the best overall bass synth abilities with minimal tracking due to the piccolo strings. (And, if I need to get bass sounds back in the bass range, I can either call up a patch for that or run the bass through another pitch transposing pedal like a Boss OC2 or Digitech Whammy). And, the GR 33 can slave outboard gear too.

pjmuck Right. The midi is just for organizing patches to, say... a Road FC 300 so you don't have to stomp 10 times to your next patch. First thing I asked them ...lol. I play an 89 Steinberger XM 2. Not the stick but the wood body and bolt on neck. I wanted the piezo, but would have to bought the one that installs controls in pot cavity and put the 13 pin plug on it. No room on it to put the clamp on one. My guitar player has one on his SG. But for bass and what I use it for, the 300 is perfect for me. It's definitely not for someone with no patience. Presets are for guitar and for bass you have to make your own. It DID bring out a creativity in me that I never knew I had. Have yet to watch a decent demo for it. 99% are either for guitar or the bass players have no clue how to use it musically. May make one myself if I can remember. I'm no fancy player. 40 years of classic rock but I'm a tone fanatic. ..lol. ocd, but it actually helps. Go figure

According to soundonsound it doesn't track like usual guitar synths instead it transforms the input guitar signal into a synth sound, which is also why there's no midi out

Yeah,.,yeah,..yeah,..but can it do the role of a Bass?..for a Bassist’s needs & requirements??...’cause in the real world 🌎 of Bass playing,..you’ll be hard pressed to get as much use for what you’ve paid for it! And since there was NO demo of that issue here....🤨🤔🙄😒⁉️ (BTW,..I’ve got a lot of Boss FX pedals so I’m even partial but still...🤔✨🎶🎸)

Got to agree with you. I've owned one for years and the factory presets are total crap for bass. It took me a year of learning how to program patches that are actually usable for playing live on a bass. Took me so long simply because I messed with it as I had time. Once you learn it it's an amazing pedal. I actually bought it to try out the octave capabilities since it does 2 octaves up and 2 down and a lot of fine tuning. Also liked the fact that it works with a standard 1/4" instrument cable. First octave pedal I've ever had that will track below open A without searching and warbling around. Open E with no latency, that you can hear, and held an octave down until the string quit vibrating. The capabilities are only realized when you learn how to program your own set of user presets. And I midi it into a Roland FC-300 for quick access to my various patches. $700? Yeah, kinda expensive, but if one actually learns to program it and use it to it's capabilities, it can replace about 5 grand or more of pedals. Definitely not for anyone that wants a plug and play pedal but if you love to experiment and learn it's true capabilities then you'll find it a very capable one pedal system. Add a midi controller pedal (the Roland has 2 programmable expression pedals which are really handy) and I leave the 300 in my amp rack and just need the Roland with me on the floor.

The Roland GR 55 has a 10 x's more sounds (much cooler and modern), guitar, bass, and amp modeling, and sound layering for the about the same price!! It's a no-brainer by comparison! This is just an expensive synth patch pedal.

This the worst demo of a bass synth. Firstly, real bass players don't play with a pick (that is the third guitarist). Why did you insist on playing chords when the synth clearly can't track them? Why was most of what you played above the octave on the strings (because it doesn't really work on basses)? You didn't play anything that a real bass player would actually play. This has definitely not sold me on this product.
