awesome! ya you don't want to get them wet (ie:go swimming, or just let the water run on your face in the shower) but its important to wash the brows. for this the brows will only have water on them for a couple seconds and then they get dried right away. theyre not submerged in water. 👍🏻

Thank you for explaining this. It’s been so confusing. Reading forums/instructions. Such as wash them but don’t get them wet. I’m like what?!
@bossbrowsla
@bossbrowsla 2 жыл бұрын
I can see how that is confusing. What that means is you want to keep them clean by gently washing them 1-2x a day, especially if you are using a product (like shown in the video). I guess I should've used the word "submerge"... do NOT submerge them in water for the first 10-14 days. Here's another video that explains the difference between wet and dry healing. 👉🏼 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHuZe6N3nJuWnNk

My question is, Is it okay to apply makeup now? Since the shape of my brows are thin i would like to make them thicker, is it okay to do my brows now?

I got them done on Monday (5 days ago) and it is now Friday Day 5. I've been gently cleaning them morning and night and applying A&D ointment each time after. im so sorry I'm just now responding. but I would recommend doing absolutely nothing. you don't want to accidentally wash off the scabs. therefore after day 5 (or once you start scabbing) I would recommend just leaving them alone. however, I would also suggest asking your Microblading artist what they recommend. 👍🏻

Yes it can work for ombré as well. It’s the same healing process. The scabs just may look a little different. I usually have them was the next day bc I wash their brows for them after the procedure with a tattoo soap so it’s not necessary.

I usually only wash once a day bc I find it dries the skin out but its not incorrect to wash twice a day. just different artists have different methods of aftercare. I don't want to tell you not to listen to your artist but if its drying out too fast then I would prop only wash once a day,

I should have watched this sooner. I didn't understand the aftercare well and washed it often with a lot of soap and water so needles needless to saynits day 3 and lost almost all of pigment infact don't see any color where its come off, will my follow up appointment in 5 weeks fix it or is the follow up appointment dependent on good results from the first round? Or does it just mean she will have to redo it again from scratch during my after care thus necessitating another follow up

I saw with the Tina Davies serum the AWM method, where she says to wash the first 1-7 days. you said the scabs form after 5 and you should be not washing at that point. does it just depend on when your scabs form, and then you should stop washing? thank you so much for this video!
@bossbrowsla
@bossbrowsla 3 жыл бұрын
I love Tina Davies serum and her aftercare formula. However, I have found better results when you stop washing after 5 days. for two reasons: 1) it makes it more simple for the client. serum and wash days 1-5. 😉 2.) I find that washing too much dries the skin out bc you are using antibacterial soap on the face. Especially if you already have dry skin- this is only going to dry the skin out more which in turn will dry out those little scabs. When the scabs dry out they start to crack and fall off prematurely. This is why I just simplify it and say to wash days 1-5 only.. but Tina Davies way is not wrong. Just different ways of doing aftercare.

Please, give me some advice. I had my eyebrows microbladed two month ago. I was told not to wet them, and if it’s not necessary to don’t put the cream I received from the clinic where I made them. Basically keep them dry. So, this was what I did. After one week my done eyebrows were literally falling off my skin. It was looking like a dry scar, I don’t know if you know what I mean. Of course, after two weeks I had no visible work done on them, just my normal eyebrow hair. Yesterday I made them again in the same clinic, different method and pigment. They look awesome, but I’m terribly scared that the same thing will happen. They feel very dry on my skin and I can already see that the same is coming, that’s why I decided to wet them a little bit with a cotton bud, dry it completely, and then with another cotton bud I applied a very thin layer of the cream. They feel better, not so stiff on my skin. The thing is that I was told by the lady that made my eyebrows that my skin doesn’t want to keep the pigment, I wasn’t bleeding at all during the process, and it was hard to keep the pigment in my skin. It took a long time and a lot of work. I’m really worried, I don’t know if I should keep doing what I was told to do or just try a little bit different way. Please answer 💖
@bossbrowsla
@bossbrowsla 3 жыл бұрын
when people bleed a lot its either bc the artist is going way too deep or the client has sensitive skin (usually the latter) I have a lot of clients with sensitive skin and in that case microblading strokes isn't always the best option bc its a "cut" or "scratch" IN the skin. so it cause more trauma to the skin than machine shading (the ombre brow) would do. I would use the cream when it feels super dry and tight but don't over do it. and wash the brows one time a day with antibacterial soap and water so there is no build up of product.

I have a lot of build up on my eyebrows.. Like when I go to wash them there's this thickness coming off them. They're also scabbing, so I don't want to try rubbing that thickness off and accidentally pulling off the scabs. What do I do? Also, the scabs are coming off with ALL of the pigment and I'm getting worried I just wasted $300....
@bossbrowsla
@bossbrowsla 3 жыл бұрын
first off, the brows have to scab over however it should really only be a thin film. if there is a thick scab the skin will not be. able to breath which means it can't heal itself. this is when an infection can occur. im not saying that that's. the case for you (I don't even know what ur brows look like ) im just warning u to keep an eye on it. the scabs have to come off eventually. it doesn't mean that pigment is falling out. as long as they fall off naturally and u didn't pick them off then you should be fine. your Microblading artist should ve explained the healing process. after 10-14 days, once all of the scabs have fallen off the brows will look 40% lighter. that is normal. color will re-appear once completely healed (30 days)but I would have this chat with your artist. 👍🏻

Okay so I have been washing them but I think I used too much soap and water , also I used a light stroking motion to wash instead of patting. Do you think i caused any damage? I e only had them done for 2 days and when I apply ointment I also do it in a stroking motion. I’m worried I messed them up. They look fine, but idk! don't stress, it sounds like you are doing it just fine. I always tell my clients the more they obsess about the aftercare, the more they end up fussing with/touching the eyebrows. Less=more! It's inevitable to have some fading and some of the pigment not stay but that's okay because that is what the touch up appointment is for. 😉

I use Cerave moisturizing lotion on my face (helps minimizes acne) but it has hyaluronic acid. My brows do get dry and need to be moisturized but I want to protect the color retention. What would you recommend that is safe and would not damage color retention? Thank you!

If you’re asking what after care to use- I really like Tina Davies aftercare serum. I’ve NEVER had any problems with it. I’ve also use Lexi bowlers after care serum when Tina Davies was out of stock. Don’t have as much experience with it and haven’t had a chance to use it personally on my own brows but haven’t had any complaints. She does have an aftercare serum that is better suited for oily/sensitive skin. Thank you for your reply and suggestions. My apologies for the confusion: I’m on day 15 of healing. All of my scabs have fallen off and I am done with the aftercare. My brows look terrific! Prior to microblading, when I moisturized my face, I would apply facial moisturizer all over my face including my brows. My current facial moisturizer has hyaluronic acid which I was told by my microblade artist it would diminish color retention. She also mentioned not to use any serums or ointments on brows at all. At this time, I’m not using any moisturizer on my brows but they are dry and be thrilled for recommendations regarding safe lotion/moisturizer that would not damage color retention.

I’m confused... First you said don’t wet for 10-14 days then you said day 1-5 wash them... I don’t get it 😖
@bossbrowsla
@bossbrowsla 3 жыл бұрын
washing and getting them wet are different. you don;'t want to get your brows wet in the first 10-14 days (ie: no swimming) but you DO need to clean the brows with soap and water. however, you are barely getting them "wet"- just dabbing a small amount of water on the brows to rinse off the soap. its not enough to cause any damage

@@bossbrowsla I really dislike how you guys word this. And it may just sound critical or negative, but I’m really saying it to inform you, and possibly implement change. Teaching should be as simple as possible. Giving instructions should be direct. If you review instructions to your client and they may confuse them, you might want to think about permanently changing the way you say things, as this client is probably not the first one. The lady that did my eyebrows told me over and over don’t get them wet! Then put a small paper of instructions in the bag that were overlooked... I did not wash them or get them wet because I was told not to get them “wet” which translates to putting water on them at ALL. You just made a $400+ investment. When someone says something strong like DONT GET THEM WET, it sticks... Do not get wet means do not allow any water on them at all. Maybe you should change your wording. Maybe omit “don’t get them wet” and say, “do not SUBMERGE your brows in water, or let them stay in a constant stream for the first 15 days. BUT do gently wash them beginning day one”. If you add in a follow up sentence, and your follow up sentence further exasperates the difference in the your first sentence, it really helps knowledge stick. Really focus on telling people to clean them. You’d be surprised how many people miss that bit of info and don’t end up talking about it. I may have lost a lot of color in my investment due to poor and confusing instructions and I see a lot of women think this based on who I’ve talked to and the comments I’ve seen. Thankfully we trade services so she will fix it, but some people aren’t that lucky. Thanks!

I had done microblading and shading , on a tattoo which was powder 2 years ago , was looking lovely , she told me to keep them moisturiser and not dry at all, and first 30 min after session to clean the limfas , that yellow thing that comes out from brow , then to keep applay from 3h in 3 h a cream for 48h then for 2 weeks to apply 3 times a day that cream and of course to clean with a wet cotton wool before each application.. however in the first 24h when I tried to clean the area I saw on the Cotton wool pigment on it … little bit , I mean after each swipe .. then now I am at day 5 and I have scabs … I start having them since day 3 or 4th day … and now in some areas seems the tattoo it’s gone I mean I can’t see the strokes from microbleading … it’s that okay … ??? I did something wrong ??? Btw my skin it’s combination oily+ dry …and I am kind of disappointed. Bcz I paid lots of money and they was looking so so beautiful :(
