SPF doesn't guarantee you won't get burned. It means that a certain amount of time will pass before you burn if you have "normal" skin. If you have sensitive skin, much less time. And most people way underapply sunscreen. You need about a quarter to half dollar of lotion just for your face. When using spray, you need to spray, let it dry, spray again. Then respray every hour if in the water, about every two when out.

The whole sugar rush thing was disproven over a decade ago. Flat coke, fizzy in a pinch, is the BEST thing for an upset stomach, nausea and vomiting. You can actually buy just cola syrup specifically for upset tummy. I used to keep it in my diaper bag. Now I keep it in the med kit. Takes about 1-2 doses and the nausea is gone.

By then, Karl and his team were finished with the task. Mission accomplished.
