Ryuzo had a reason for his betrayal though. His men were starving, the Mongols gave it without question and there was no way Shimura would help the straw hats, he'd probably use them as canon foder. I mean he hates theves like Yuna, imagen how he feels about bandits or Ronin.

They couldn't just steal food from peasants before aligning with the mongols. Just feels super forced and unearned, though I enjoyed the story with ryuzo. Just wished it would've made more sense for why he would betray you.

it really highlights just how flawed Bushido law really is Duty should never come before family. Even Shimura understood this. unlike Kazumasa Shimura only turned his back on Jin when Jin made his own choices.

Shimura may have been a stuck in his way old boomer but he knew what it took to be a leader and a father. Kazumaza could compromise and be ruthless when needed but he never could connect with people after his wife'd death. notice how Jin's traits seem to be a mix of those 3. his mothers kindness= always helping those in need his uncles principles=will never back down if it means saving his homeland his fathers ruthlessness=will rain down hell on his enemies honor be damned.

The music in this game is another level. It’s so goddamn good especially in this scene. The way it swells when Jin comes out of the vision, the way it drops when the sword clash is over, really made me feel like I had overcome a great difficulty and came out the other side stronger, ready to fight with new resolve. So good.

I played this part with the Sakai clan armor. It felt like poetry, wearing the armor of my dead father, to defeat the eagle; I was not my father, I was Jin Sakai.

i played this bit with the Ghost armor (doesn't make much sense in terms of continuity because this is before Taka made it i think.) but i feel like it created a good contrast between Jin and Kazumasa. Kazumaza is a Legendary warrior but Jin is near enough a mythical figure.

@@michaelkean5969 Continuity wise it can go either way, if you've beaten the game before starting the dlc Jin mentions to the eagle that he already killed Khotun. I liked using the ghost armor for this dlc because the mongols on Iki are introduced to a fully seasoned Ghost

@@media_dump but the problem is tho is that This DLC's story is so muddled up it cna't decide if it's set during or after the main story because the dialog goes both ways it breaks immersion. i'm going to start a new game plus and see when the dlc becomes available story wise so it makes more sense.

It’s said that the guiding wind is Kazumasa’s spirit guiding Jin. The violet petals represented the hallucinations Jin endured through out the expansion. At the end, as Jin meditated and finally found closure, you see the guiding wind blow away the image the fear that the poison created.

So happy I’m not the only one who noticed this. I played half the DLC in English and the other half including this in Japanese, and the moaning was so fucking annoying. Sounded like a dogshit hentai, but it’s actually an epic boss fight. Also find it odd that The Eagle just reuses the generic enemy movesets, but it’s not that big of an issue.

She sure is agile and can take a hit for someone her age. Got some seriously wicked moves. Never saw that flying staff flip when I fought her. Wonder how to dodge it. A LOT of new attacks are real bastards to dodge/parry, especially those twinblade brutes. Ridiculous hitboxes. I guess the Suckerpunch devs were mad about everyone saying the game was too easy. I definitely turned the difficulty down from Lethal to Hard when I got insta-killed by one of the new enemies pretty early on, it’s an insane difficulty spike. That being said, I can see this fight being not too bad on Lethal.

[4:50] - The strings instruments slowly interjects themselves into Jin's leitmotif, signifying the voice of Kazumasa begging Jin to do it. It seems to me that the strings play a repeated tune that goes up and down; up being Kazumasa wanting to Jin to do what he says and down being Jin denying it, showing that he is not his father. [5:07] - The lone flute (Jin), starts to overpower the strings before pushing away the sound of the strings, the voice of his father. [5:22] - The strings return in a consistent tune, it's more uplifting than previously. It could mean Jin has already come to terms with his fathers' darkness and used it as a stepping stone out of it, reaching higher and higher to the climaxing clash. (I also like to point out that after the clash, it starts playing "The Legacy of Kazumasa Sakai" which also shares the shakuhachi element in it so make of that as you will.) [Summary] I'll admit that the last one seems like a stretch but nevertheless, the music chosen was perfect for Jin's confrontation with Kazumasa.

I loved the fight so much. Although eagle lady kicked my ass 😅. The whole expansion was really cool. The wisteria parts were so beautiful. The only thing was I made the mistake of going to the island almost immediately after reaching part 2 and boy was I underprepared. Now I’m back on tsushima and everything is easy.

I have OCD and the voices she speak to Jin during the whole time randomly on Iki island is EXACTLY what the inner voice I have, those intrusive thoughts. In the end, by learning to forgive himself Jin broke free of the poison. I learned to do so and it REALLY helps. I never thought a video game could be this amazing.

the best DLC for Ghost of Tsushima. New enemy type that enhanced the enemy attack and enemies that switch weapons on the fly. New final boss that's more threatening than Khotun. And finally Jin let's go of his past and finally moved on.

Depends on what you're going for. If you want a good story with a pretty open world and fun combat go with ghost. If you're looking for a more fantastical japanese game, with fun (and very challenging) combat, with a lot of lore ,go for sekiro

I platinumed both Sekiro & Ghost Of Tsushima. Personally, i loved Ghost more. The boss fights in Sekiro where way more challenging, but Ghost Of Tsushima is a game i will probaly keep playing this entire generation. Most likely never be deleted from my ps5. Sekiro on the other hand, small chance i ever play it again.

Sekiro is pain. I usualy like hard games but honestly the fact that you're just set loose on the map with no direction, fighting boss not really knowing why and trying to doge every other fight made the game unplayable to me. Man when that scene and the backround music happen got me hype so much, i had only got 4 heals and i kept on losing at the eagle and when i saw that scene i knew i couldnt mess it up by dying again id ruined up that moment and i had only like 1 hp left i was going try hard mode and guess what i clutched it

Lmao I beat this boss on Lethal mode and whatever the hell she hit me with 1 shot me PLUS I need 3 resolve to revive and I was limited to 6 ALMOST EVERY ATTACK was either super fast and a VERY SMALL window to parry I mean it sucked dude eventually I beat her though and Idk if I wanna go back to duel her AGAIN because when you rematch a duel your already done it gets harder and if I could barely beat her on Lethal that would be pain this concludes the essay of how much I hate this boss.

I was playing at the highest difficulty and was defeated several dozens of times but... When Jin was spared of the vision and his theme started playing my blood boiled and I entered the Ghost mode and killed the Eagle with half of her xp in just one determined attempt. I haven't even had a chance to realize it.

from losing his home island after saving it, to redemption of feeling guilt his whole life + saving the killer of his fathers. Sucker Punch deserves an Oscar for making this one of a kind game! the sequence of the story is beyond imaginable, the music is intense in every scene that makes you feel you are among them. P.S. Tenzo actually went to save Sakai hence why he defeated the other goon and went and prevented the eagle from killing Jin.👏🏼
