What I like about Boston is you can whistlealong to their guitar solos, because they are so melodic and tuneful. They play like sweet sounding birds

This is a fantastic ballad from 1978. Bostons second album. I sang this to my wife when she left me for another man after 26 years of marriage. Because i couldnt be that man ill never be. Just her dream sadly. I had to be me. People forget what brought them together so often. Complacency in a realationship will kill it.😢 I still love and miss her. Its been 17 years now, and she passed away. I miss you Betts.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ great reaction Guys!👍👍🤘🤘

Their next album, Third Stage, didn't come out until 1986. Tom Scholz is famous for long waits between releases. That one has their only #1 hit, Amanda.

Wow! I didn’t see that you did this until today. I lost my 29 year old daughter a year ago. She actually died on the same day as Brad Delp singer for Boston on March 9th (2023 for my daughter and 2007 for Brad). This song was listened to many times by me in the 3 weeks and 1 day that I sat with her in hospice care. I felt like I couldn’t be the man (dad) that she needed me to be. I felt helpless. 😞

Hello Mr Newcomer. I am sorry for your loss, no parent should have to lose a child. I can say that, as a 50-year-old fan of Boston who grew up listening to 1970's rock because of having four older brothers whom were born between 1955 and 1960, I lost the one who turned me on to Boston at a young age. He died at 46 years old in November 2006 (I was 33 at the time). Then a few months later came the death of vocalist Brad Delp, and I couldn't believe it. That amazing voice I'd been listening to for so long was no longer around. But at least he left an amazing body of work. The first three Boston albums have always been among my favorite albums. I am from northeast Ohio and didn't have the best growing up, but Boston was always welcome on any stereo wherever I went. Whatever part of the country you are in, I hope you are well despite everything. John in Ohio.

This song speaks to pretty much anyone who feels they can't measure up to what people expect of them. I know it sure resonates with me.
