I just watched your last apartment tour this one is definitely more spacious. Its very cute. The shower if fine with the clear liner you can also get a colored one that is particularly see through they have stripes or circles so you can see out. On the kitchen storage shelf get the fabric storage bins from dollar tree that way if you get sick of them you only spent a dollar and they look just as nice as the more expensive ones. Maybe for the drawers that keep opening up maybe those velcro fasteners will help.

The floor might not be completely level so that could be causing the kitchen island drawers to open. Try putting coasters under the front legs.

I only use a shower line also that clear. It brings in more light. Which section of Boston do you live in? I use to live in the Fenway area and absolutely loved it!!!
