Thank you for the upload! In these old movies, everyone dressed to the nines. Even the bartender has a tie on. I love these old movies too, because the women always had hats on. If you saw someone today, wearing one of those kind of hats you would think something was wrong with her.! 😂😂

True Cissy. I never dress that nice. haha

Hey Billy, fell asleep last night, after preparing for Hurricane Helene. But watching Boston Blackie now this morning. Weathered the storm fine a lot of debris, but the rainfall”wasn’t as much as last week”s storm . 👋👍❤️😎

I could be wrong, but I think the bus driver at 2:07 (2nd film) is Lloyd Bridges. Sure looks like him.

I remember a different actor playing Blackie. Does anyone remember his name. Loved hearing Boston Blackie on the radio when I was a kid. Thanks Billy

Actor Chester Morris played the character in 14 Columbia Pictures films (1941-1949) and in a 1944 NBC radio series. Kent Taylor starred in the Ziv-produced half-hour TV series Boston Blackie. Syndicated in September 1951, it ran for 58 episodes

Interesting tidbit...Writer Jack Boyle was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. While working as a newspaper editor in San Francisco, he became an opium addict and was drawn into crime to support his habit. He was sent to San Quentin for writing bad checks. Later convicted of robbery in Denver, Colorado, Boyle was serving time at the Colorado State Penitentiary when he created the character of Boston Blackie. Thanks for watching Carolyn
