You guys are good, so am I, great that you still wear protective gear. Kudos! (good role models for kids)
@Heartofadrenaline2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I am a very strong supporter of protective equipment. About a year ago I was on my motorcycle and a truck ran over my legs. I wouldn’t be able to skate again if it wasn’t for proper riding gear I had on.

I always forgot how small the hills are in Boston. It's still a really fun city to skate though, even with the little hills. :) Nice video! Keep up the good work.
@Heartofadrenaline2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yea we don’t have mountain roads here but it’s a great combination of hills and city skating. Timing traffic lights is always fun.
@JanWelch2 жыл бұрын
@@Heartofadrenaline Timing traffic lights is the best. I used to host weekly skates in Austin, Texas. It is quite hilly there, but the way the city is laid out, I figured out routes with minimum uphill and maximum downhill, with lots of parking garages. Also, don't get me wrong, Boston is a super fun city to skate in!

How fast are you going? It looks like fun but terrifying too! What happens if you hit something ? Falling off on the road must be like hitting a cheese grater with your bare skin at speed 😱Do you get worried when you can't see so well in the dark ?
@Heartofadrenaline2 жыл бұрын
I do get worried in the dark, holes can sneak up on you. But its important to have a light to stand out to cars and pedestrians. In the city skates one of our fastest was 34mph I believe. Hitting things always hurts if you don’t have the right gear. It’s not so much a cheese grater more like landing on a belt sander haha.
@lisapet1602 жыл бұрын
Most falls are handled with controlled landing on protective gear. This makes skating safer than cycling.
