I'd much prefer to buy a robot as my general body around the house for mowing the lawn, taking out the trash, cleaning the floors, vacuuming and even possibly be a chef for the family rather than pay someone or many persons who are late, snoop around the house and have attitude etc... A robot will just do and if you're nice with your robot, if they ever do become sentient. At least they knew you were good with them. Skynet is coming whether we like it or not!

I wonder in a factory setting if the robots could be powered/recharged via electrified flooring while they go about their assigned duties. Imagine them working 24 hours per day without breaktime. Shareholders are going to love this, the elimination of expensive belly buttons.

I was thinking the same thing, though they might need something like a flat bottom instead of feet to keep them planted and continuously charging, like a wireless phone charger.

Comparing Tesla's human-assisted geriatric robot with the other two is a disservice, especially when you consider the Tesla's history of faking demonstrations.

@@abinodattil6422 How about the 2016 video showing a Model S driving itself for miles and parking itself? The then-director of Autopilot software admitted in court that the route was pre-planned and 3D-mapped, and multiple takes were necessary to achieve a run without human intervention. None of it was representative of software that, according to Tesla, functions autonomously WITHOUT 3D mapping. How about Elon claiming his "revolutionary" solar roofs were production-ready and, in fact, powering the houses he was using as demos, only to later admit in court (again!) that those were non-functional props? How about Elon demoing a Tesla Roadster with +600 mile range, taking people's money, then forgetting his previous lies and claiming on X that a car with 600 mile range is stupid because "you'd be carrying unneeded battery mass"? (BTW, this is the same car he said it might be able to fly. 😂) How about Tesla deceptively slicing together multiple videos to show the Optimus robot putting a box down in 2022? 😂 How about Tesla (again!) having to 3D-map its demo area for the Vaporware Taxi? Or the "human-assisted" Optimus robots?
@livelongandtroll91082 күн бұрын
@@abinodattil6422 It is true that Steve Jobs, in 2007, had a "golden path" to navigate the buggy unreleased iPhone prototype. What he did NOT do was fake demonstrations of the prototype performing tasks it could not do; using different technology. In fact, the phone was announced in January and release in July. A Much fair comparison would be one those mobile games which are completely different from the ad or Theranos... The Steve Jobs comparison is nonsense that desperate Tesla fans have been repeating when they can't defend Tesla's fakery. Notice you went from "What fake demos?" to trying to make a false equivalence in the span of two comments.

How does this company stay solvent? I don't know any business who buys these things. It seems Boston Dynamic's business model is primarily making robot videos for KZbin. And what business in their right mind would shell out 5-to-7 figures for an entertainment robot to dance to the Coasters or do parkour? This won't end well.

why dont they build centaurs. they can reach greater heights, can carry larger weights, have a potential loading area on the back, and they already know very well how to make it move on 4 legs at an acceptable pace they just have to combine the best of two products et voila. maybe i should write letters to them. its so obvious i dont know why we dont have that. in standing mode the front legs could stabilize the back part of the body in balance allowing it to reach enormous heights and pick up stuff from high up. it wouldn rotate like atlas does but they could just analyze human and horse moevement to manage rotation over movement of the backlegs while standing. even elephants. or they can even manage to stand upright with 4 available arms. that would be too sick to be true. but yeah build centaurs.

This robot is like a recycled tire completely useless! It can barely function, let alone do the job it’s supposed to. It’s just a massive waste of money. Honestly, humans could get the job done faster and better than this thing. A robot should be able to work independently and at a much higher speed, but this one? It’s basically a toy with the same basic functions over and over. Definitely not impressed.
