Neo looks like a person in a Robot suit with a mechanical hand stuck onto the end of each arm. Assuming it is really a robot, it looks very advanced and human-like in all of its movements. But the phrase "fake it till you make it" comes to mind whenever I see it. They ought to show it operating without its robot suit just to allay the reservations of skeptics like me.

In their current form and level of functionality, they are absolutely useless to the average person or business. They also exaggerate capabilities. Like Isaac folding clothes but they don't show it. Even if they did it would probably just show it folding an article of clothing (if not an easy towel) that was already spread and laid out for it. Yet we forget that the main driver of progress is the military. Need should force the military to create a quality anthropomorphic robot, and the market economy will make it cheaper and more suitable for civilian use. You may be mistaken that nothing will ever be cheaper than a person and his death. But in modern society, the continuous growth of egoism and awareness of globalization, dictatorships and countries with a low standard of living and education have a huge advantage in the difference in the value of life. The population of developed countries would rather choose to leave the country than risk their precious lives. Europeans will fly to America, Americans will fly to Europe if a war breaks out. The modern world really needs "autonomous warfare" to defend itself from immature regimes. Ideally, to defend itself preventively. Now it is a huge political risk to send your soldiers to die for future economic stability. It will be much easier to send drones, air and ground, to protect democracy. (If you live in a democracy, you have no right to ridicule the defense of democracy. You have freedom of speech to criticize. But don't dare force others to live in a non-democracy.)

AIbots are going to be a boon to small businesses. They are not taking jobs but rather amplifying what we can get done. I can cut a tree faster with a chainsaw faster than a handsaw faster than an axe faster than a stone edge. Humanoid robots and AGI mean that I ndividuals can start a business without all the headaches, drama, liabilities and costs of employees. I look forward to AIbots to help me farm, in my butchershop, construction and forestry. Quite importantly, AIbots can do self maintenance and repair as well as that on other equipment. On the non-robotic side, AI in bookkeeping, legal, customer service will also be great. I like working. I like doing things. I create. I need some help. I do not like having employees - way too much drama. At $20k and I will take one right away. $15k? I will take two or three. $10k as one pundit quotes? Wow! Yes! Tractors cost $50k to $250k. Big iron. Other tools I have cost $5k to $90k. I would much rather be empowered by a tool than having to rely on and deal with employee drama. Let people start their own businesses. AI gives them that leverage.
