Boston Fire Department Ladder 24 Responding X 2, Q-Siren, Air Horn

In this video you will see Boston Fire Ladder 24 leaving the station and also responding to a call at Suffolk University. Notice the use of the Federal Signal Q-Siren. GREAT sound! You can see it mounted on the front bumper of the truck.

@code3paris ..Noise polution = electronic sirens. Which send their signal in every direction unlike an electro mechanical. Your video shows this quite well as the ladder passes you.

After watching a few of your awesome clips. It seems the BFD only taps the Q button lightly during responses. They don't use the siren to it's full potential??

@911caddy Yeah, it depends. These days there is a lot of talk about noise pollution so that may (or may not) play a role in how the Q is used. I'm sure BFD doesn't want it to get banned like it is in NYC (even though some trucks still use it).
