Every year I go through the same thing. Asking why do they call this First Night? A lot of cities now have the same deal. It's not the first night of the year. It's actually the last night. The first night of the new year is on the night of Jan. 1st, not Dec. 31st. Why not call it "Final Night" or perhaps "First Morning?"
