As a born and bred Bostonian, I've attended the BM for many, many years. And, on occasions, in sunny and rainy weather, I've applauded those who ran. Taking a cheap shot at either Baunman or Gyllenhaal is a disgrace.

I read the book. There was nothing inspiring about the book. If anything could be taken from it: it should be the story about his "girlfriend". Jeff and all his pals seem like pretty depressed people and that was BEFORE the "event". This g/f story was the part that was unbelievable to me. I just wasnt getting her devotion to him as in his own book... he didnt offer her much of anything. idk I was fortunate to have bought the book for $1. In keeping with getting rid of statues with REAL history, I guess we must now document for posterity's sake, "events" that are questionable to many people. The quick recovery of Jeff was beyong miraculous. I wont be watching the movie, we've already watched it....
