Boston University Campus Tour 2020

With college life changed due to the current pandemic, I wanted to create a resource for incoming Boston University students to get a taste of life on campus!
I am currently a senior at Boston University studying computer science with a minor in deaf studies and I've been able to get pretty involved with a lot of different aspects of campus.
In this video I cover topics like housing, move in, dining halls, and more! Let me know what ya'll think and what I should do next!

BU Virtual Tour, East Campus -> West Campus 1. Best dining hall - Bay State 2. Right across from MIT and Harvard 3. Commonwealth Ave - Train there and nice central campus 4. Radio Station 5. Mars Chapel - official central campus 6. BU Beach - Central Camp 7. George Sherman Union - Central Camp, where big events are hosted at - dining point, library 8. A lot of stuff are integrated within campus (west campus side, but true for parts around campus) - ex. Target, Chipotle 9. BU bus - free modes of transportation 10. BU gym - nice and big - 7 basketball court and olympic sized swimming pool 11. BU hockey arena ( very good team) 12. Deciding if I want to come here for grad school, you guys have the #1 program in the nation for Occupational Therapy. Beautiful school and clean editing on your part. This is also one of the better campus tour videos I'v seen in awhile, you did a good job actually displaying areas on campus for longer shots while at the same time mixed in shots of yourself, good balance. Greetings from a BU alumnus (1987), in Tokyo. Very well done! Brought back a lot of memories to me. The myth of not stepping on the BU seal in front of Marsh Chapel? I stepped on it numerous times, and I did not graduate in 4 years. I graduated in 3 years! BTW, BU bus? Ha! I used to walk all the way from my dorm Danielson to central campus.

Incoming freshman in COM! I was so excited to check out campus because I haven't been to Boston yet however due to COVID, I've deferred my first semester until January but if it doesn't get better I might extend it to next year and join the class of '25. I really hope to be there soon though. Thanks for the campus tour, it's making me even more excited for when I get to go.

Glad I could help! The gym (fitrec) still isn't open and to my knowledge I don't think they have a solid reopening plan yet. Nickerson will probably depend on what events are going on with specific days!

Not too much info on fall yet, but as of now, you can already live on campus and choose to attend in person classes. Grad students are oftentimes off campus to my knowledge!

Hey I’m currently trying to apply to BU and on the common app in the question section for Early Decision it has an agreement saying, “If you are accepted under an Early Decision plan, you must promptly withdraw the applications submitted to other colleges and universities and make no additional applications to any other university in any country. If you are an Early Decision candidate and are seeking financial aid, you need not withdraw other applications until you have received notification about financial aid from the admitting Early Decision institution.” Do you have to withdraw your other applications only after you’re accepted into BU or is it right now I can’t apply to any others if I agree? I showed this to one of my teachers who’s helping out his seniors with college apps and who is also a lawyer and he said I shouldn’t agree to it but I’m thinking maybe he misread it. Sorry for the long comment I just needed some help understanding what this is

Thanks for sharing! I personally think it had the best of both and it definitely has a campus vibe. If you stay on commonwealth avenue, you’ll be passing almost entirely students and faculty!
