If anyone's interrested in the logic behind this TAS, at first, he goes straigh for the fruits, untill all walls are placed. Then, he starts to follow the same predetermined path over and over again. This phase starts at 1:53. Following the same pattern would be long and pretty boring, so the TaS tries to evaluate the odds of dying if it jumps from a road section to another. At first, he can skip big chunks, like 48 blocks at a time at 2:00. At 3:24, there's only a 2 block section in the middle he's still consistently skipping. Near the end, the odds are not worth the time save so he just follows the same path untill it win

It runs in a computer and the person running it is able to tell it precise inputs(button presses), save their work, and the machine is able to run the inputs to display how the game would look if it ran with those inputs. It is essentially a simulation that is able to be toyed around with in all kinds of ways.

Dood I thought it was going to be just a bot that finds a perfect route and then just rolls with it. But once it started accounting for its length, using up turns to not hit its tail, using up sections of the board to not have an apple spawn where it doesn’t want to, THEN making a route and even adjusting that route accordingly. It really was perfect dood

I never thought of Snake having an end but I guess it should have been obvious, the longer you get the less spaces you are allowed to inhabit -1 for every apple you get for normal Snake and -2 for this one. So given this bot was playing normal Snake it would last for exactly 412 apples maximum.
