Love it! I ordered one online because I was impatient, it came very sad!!! I chopped it off two weeks ago and now sitting by my window growing back! 💜 thanks for the shout out!!! 🥰🤙🏼🙋🏻♀️

Smile! It’s Mae Day!! Lol sometimes it’s easier to order than to keep going back to the stores to see if they have it. So glad it’s growing back!!!

The oxalis is a workhorse in my garden and patio collection . Here in north Texas , we have a humid , temperate climate and the purple color of the leaves and the abundant blooms really enhance everything around it. The easy care and dependability of this plant make it my favorite .

I'm so happy I just found your channel! Most plant youtubers live in warm areas. I live right outside of Seattle and seeing how your plants are doing and where you got them is so so useful to me💚

I know right?? I get major sunshine envy when I watch plant parents from the southwest. If you’re south of Seattle, you should try to check out the Renton McClendon, they have a small indoor house plant section, but VERY good prices!

I love this plant. I’ve recently planted a couple of bulbs outside (it’s winter here). They’ve died, but hopefully they will rise again on the 3rd day, or later...

I just bought 30 of these bulbs .and 30 of the iron cross bulbs... 6 to 9 weeks wait on delivery... Can’t wait to have them..

I have left mine dormant for months over the winter, without watering, in very little light. In spring, I bring them out, put them in filtered light and start regular watering. They come back very strong.
@Botanibabies4 жыл бұрын
Humanity Is Lost that is amazing!! They’re almost like seasonal decoration lol. I water mine just a tiny bit in the winter, but they honestly look really sad when they’re not in growing season. I hope to one day get a hold of other oxalis varieties as they are so hearty despite their delicate appearance!

What you said is true! I have a lot of oxalis & it's adorable. But i saw from other videos that the flowers are edible & can be mixed to a salad!

Thank you! you are super helpful! I don't know how but I found this plant in someones yard in my neighborhood (I live in denver area of colorado, super dry). It was the first time I've ever seen it! It was still in its baby stages. When I walked by the patch another week, it was looking like it was having a rough time, so I picked some out of the ground and have it in a water glass. Its doing well in the water. I want to transplant it to a pot soon! I'm happy to have rescued this plant, and now I know I can let it thrive in my home!!!

You know that you can eat the leaves and the flower of the Oxalis. They had an acidic flavour like the lemon. Actually my grand mother used to put some leaves in the salad and the taste is amazing.
@Botanibabies4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've read that they are edible! Good to know they have a lemony flavor, maybe kind of like lavender too? I might try and experiment and dry some to maybe make some tea :)!

They are such a hearty plant! I am SO jealous of your 4 colors! I have only ever seen it in purple and gold. Hopefully if I am able to get rid of some plants, I can make space for other colors :).

Where do u get the colors, I would like to get a bright purple , but can't find it anywhere. I only see the one that is darker purple color with a little bright purple in the middle

phuong nguyen I use the stinky fish emulsion fertilizer 🤓 only during growing season. This goes dormant in the winter.

I have a hard time keeping these alive. I’ve tried a few times...bright indirect light, moist but not wet soil. What am I doing wrong? They’re so beautiful 😍
@Botanibabies5 жыл бұрын
I am Jcanflower awww!! How long have you had it? Try putting it somewhere that gets direct sunlight. Or it may need to be in new soil depending on how old the soil is that it is currently in ☹️
@marycanfield86544 жыл бұрын
1/3 c. water/ week. Lamplight works, as well as through the window.

I water it every 6 days, keep it near an east facing window and give it 30 mins of direct sunlight and it might work?

I live in downtown Bellevue I'm wondering where do you buy your plants from? Can't wait to go to Seattle side once everything is OK...I guess. 😀

Hi neighbor! Love connecting with other Washingtonians on here. Outside of the big box stores (Lowes, Ikea, Home Depot, etc), my favorite places are McClendon's (although they're not. very friendly, they have a great selection of low priced indoor houseplants) and Molbak's up north (super cute cafe inside!), and Watson's down south. I feel like these places have decent prices. I love the smaller nurseries, but the price tags... eek!

Hi, can I ask a little help with my purple oxalis. I'm novice when it comes to planting and this plant arrived yesterday. What should I do to make it bloom because leaves are closed? Thank you in advance. :)
@Botanibabies4 жыл бұрын
Usually the leaves will close on the plant when the roots are a little bit stressed. This is a little bit of a sensitive plant when you move it or even water it sometimes. Just give it a few days without disturbing it and it will open back up for you :).

Buenas tardes, me podrán decir cuál es el motivo que mi planta de trébol morado con el tiempo se le pone verde las hojas. Que debo hacer o es normal este cambio. Gracias de antemano.
@Botanibabies5 жыл бұрын

@@Botanibabies he was asking why his has reverted to green.
@Botanibabies4 жыл бұрын
