I was binge watching your videos until I came across this one.. I pressed "play" without even initially reading the title and when you said "Málaga, Spain" I jumped from my seat! My boyfriend lives there and I haven't been able to see him until now.. we should have met in Málaga during Christmas holidays but due to extraordinary covid19 restrictions in Italy it won't happen anymore. I was in search for inspiration, because when I'm sad I like to paint, it brings me serenity and mindfulness. Thank you for all your amazing work ❤

I do the same thing! Sometimes I’ll sketch out some ideas for a painting, and then once I play around with that idea, I’m over it and I move on to another project. For this piece, I made the decision early on that it WILL become a finished painting, so that mindset carried me through the planning process and the completion of this painting. Also, you should already be proud of where your skills have come! 😊

Thank you! I think the trick to watercolor is good planning, since it can get messy on the paper and it is harder to fix mistakes than other mediums, in my opinion 😊

This painting is based on a reference photo, which I linked in the description, so I would say it's not "straight" from my head. And you can do it! It just might take some time 😊
