Beautiful peaches. It really is remarkable how you can be working at a painting for hours, unsure if it's going to turn out. But you push through and then suddenly, it comes together all at once. Anna's method of working with the lightest, darkest, then midtones (in that order), and repeating works this way. She can be on the 4th or 5th cycle before it magically clicks and voila! Her subject pops off the page and you find yourself wandering into the kitchen for some fresh fruit...

Your techniques work so well for fuzzy peaches and fruit like grapes that have that powdery surface film. Thanks for the tips Anna!

Hi I began painting wildlife this year but would like to try larger paintings next year of flowers. Can you tell me what equipment and brush sizes I would need to transfer big pictures and do you use canvas or paper? Any help for my Christmas list appreciated. Thank you.
