Botanical Watercolor Leaves And Greenery In Artset App For Ipad

In this video, I’ll be painting some simple watercolor botanical greenery in Art Set 4 app. Painting watercolor leaves is a very therapeutic process and it is very easy to get real like watercolor effects with textures in this app as well besides procreate.

Are you using the Apple Pencil 2? I have a Pencil 1, not sure how you flood color into just drawn leaves without getting it outside of the defined edges of those leaves, wondering if that's a Pencil 2 capability? I can't seem to get a super-fine beginning and ending of the stroke, although I have achieved widening it out. You maybe have a much more practiced touch! I'd be curious what brush size you use on the Watercolor Smooth brush, and if you adjust the opacity settings at all to do those leaves. For example, do you have opacity set at 100% and control the color that lays down by lightening and intensifying the pressure on the pencil? Thanks for helping! This looks like a very interesting app!

I found this app is unable to keep the adjustment you set up.. For example, when you set up the eraser size to 100%, but after you switch the eraser to a pen and then switch back to eraser, the 100% will go back to the defaulted size... Is there a way to fix this? Thank you.

Yes, unfortunately, it does that. However, what I do is that I grab the adjustment slider itself and grab it to the side panel. This way, I always have access to that slider without going to the toolbar if that makes sense. If I find a better way, I'll update my comment :)

@@colorstrokesbyhanu Have you ever tried the cut and paste function?? I have a hard time to figure out how to use it... When I select the item and click the scissor, I guess the item has been cut... and then I click the check. but I couldn't find the paste button.........do you have any idea how to use this function? Really appreciate your reply and helps. Thank you very much.

@preludefugue4859 yes, when you select the cut & paste option, you can then lasso around what you want to select, move it where you want, then press the check mark on the bottom right. I hope that helps.

@@colorstrokesbyhanu Thank you for your reply. I guess this should called cut and move function, It is not exactly copy and paste a new duplicated item...... I don't think it have the copy and paste with duplicated function that I am looking for.

Can we adjust the size and dpi of canvas after buy it?

This is done in the ArtSet app like mentioned in the video. You have option to choose different canvas sizes.

I am often using the watercolor smooth brush. You can adjust pressure, speed, and tilt. See if it helps?
