Botany Bay Plantation Heritage Preserve Driving Tour

Self guided driving tour through the Botany Bay WMA. One thing that made this a little more fun was printing out the tour sheet and giving it to my wife so she could be the tour guide. The points of interest are numbered and there is information listed on the sheet for each stop.
I was of course more interested in the wildlife I could find, so I didn't retain any of those interesting facts. LOL
Along the drive we saw different bird species, as well as deer, and lots of fox squirrels, which I wasn't expecting. Very happy about that.
We also timed it right to make are way out onto the beach. It's only accessible at low tide I'm told. On the way out we saw lots of crabs, then saw more wildlife on the beach itself. There was even a snake on the connector trail.
Overall I think this place had a lot to offer for what little effort we had to put in. I'll admit the drive out to begin the tour was pretty long, so try to stay nearby.

There were a couple of them on the beach. We hoped they were still okay when the tide came back in.

There were lots of nice beaches to choose from. Couldn't go wrong!
