those are the horns. NSUs euphs sound little like mellos when played high, they tend to have a distinct sound compared to baritones. Especially the marching variants.

NSU & Hampton's trumbone performances was very nice. NSU flag girls did a glow in the dark thing one time before but it wasn't as good as hampton's.

Well I see we just have a difference in Logic. Any group that cares about its performances are more worried about the internal perception than the outside perception. People on the outside have no idea what you go through and how hard you work they just see the end result everyone won't like everything so worrying about the masses is really not an option.

LOL! people are delusional Hampton was the John McCain of this battle, they made a bunch of noise but the end result was simply defeat. Good job though, see you folks across the bridge next year. Oh and The Silks did "Meeting in My Bedroom/Turn Out the Lights" and nothing Hamptons ladies could do would compare to the routine..sorry.

There are little kinks in NSU's armor these days. NSU has a crisper sound. Not that they are larger is the reason. Their sound is more pronouced. A larger band is SUPPOSE to sound louder but it is how they play louder that makes a difference. Some bands are large and play loud and very sloppy. NSU tradmarks are their sound, musicianship, and (in the past) their discipline. Hampton always have a respectable band.Keep doing what you guys are doing. WOW! You're saying the same battle cry that Hampton has been yelling for years. I remeber years when NSU was actually the same size or even a little smaller and were whipping on Hampton (Prime example 91) Hampton always put on a good show. NSU just always put that extra dance step or special song in their shows that put them over. Of course you will always say "your" band was better. When you can look from the outside with an HONEST opinion, THEN you can call yourself a true musician.

You don't even know who is who. Were you even there? Anyway...if you've never marched for either its just your small opinion, which ain't much...

Askanison is funny...hampton sucked huh? lol wow...Hampton went toe to toe with NSU...only major different was NSU was louder...and yall have been hanging that over Hamptons head for a while now...you have more people...and louder ..that does not make you better. Still some sections in your band got their asses handed to you lol...Hot ice, the Tbones, Tubas and the drum section....NSU was almost twice the size as Hampton and can barely edge them at times.
