"Hambone lost an estimated 2 Million Silver Lions in spading this vehicle for this video": That comes out to $33 in repair costs. This is of course not counting the time spent out of the day, all the frustration gained and all the sanity lost for playing a bomber on top of the financial cost. Now think how many battles a normal player would be playing, or how many these guys probably have to go through to get footage for a single video. Thank you all for your sacrifices and commitment. @KnightofDark001804 жыл бұрын
Yep. But gaijin doesn't want bombers to be effective, primarily due to them being the #1 grind vehicle you could rely on more often than not to bring in an exceptionally high amount of SL and RP. Thus prompting a massive increase of repair costs, and decrease of overall stability for the entire bomber class across the game. This, of course, was to intentionally drive up costs for the bomber itself and the bundles they sell, and force people to pay more, or leave the game. Worked, due to the fuckshit people seem to allow gayjin to get away with.

Well the B-29 was specifically designed for flying at extremely high altitudes, at around 32,000 feet to be specific. Earning the name "strato-fortress" it flew so high to avoid enemy aircraft (mostly because most war thunder fighters would take ages to reach the hight)

A friendly reminder to all B-29 and Tu-4 pilots: Turning off auto repair can potentially save you 70K SL per week: The plane will repair over time, and if you decide to finish repairs early when they're 50% done, you only have to pay 50% of the repair cost. The free repair time is still very long, but there is no penalty in SL or time spent for immediately repairing it yourself after a match if you wish to fly it again. There is no reason to force yourself to pay that much extra SL if you are still hurting for SL
@koencagurangan32563 жыл бұрын

Info about b 29 bomberr The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is an American four-engined propeller-driven heavy bomber, designed by Boeing and flown primarily by the United States during World War II and the Korean War. Named in allusion to its predecessor, the B-17 Flying Fortress, the Superfortress was designed for high-altitude strategic bombing, but also excelled in low-altitude night incendiary bombing, and in dropping naval mines to blockade Japan. B-29s dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the only aircraft ever to drop nuclear weapons in combat. One of the largest aircraft of World War II, the B-29 was designed with state-of-the-art technology, which included a pressurized cabin, dual-wheeled tricycle landing gear, and an analog computer-controlled fire-control system that allowed one gunner and a fire-control officer to direct four remote machine gun turrets. The $3 billion cost of design and production (equivalent to $49 billion in 2022),[3] far exceeding the $1.9 billion cost of the Manhattan Project, made the B-29 program the most expensive of the war.[4][5] The B-29 remained in service in various roles throughout the 1950s, being retired in the early 1960s after 3,970 had been built. A few were also used as flying television transmitters by the Stratovision company. The Royal Air Force flew the B-29 with the service name Washington from 1950 to 1954 when the jet-powered Canberra entered service. The B-29 was the progenitor of a series of Boeing-built bombers, transports, tankers, reconnaissance aircraft, and trainers. For example, the re-engined B-50 Superfortress Lucky Lady II became the first aircraft to fly around the world non-stop, during a 94-hour flight in 1949. The Boeing C-97 Stratofreighter airlifter, which was first flown in 1944, was followed in 1947 by its commercial airliner variant, the Boeing Model 377 Stratocruiser. This bomber-to-airliner derivation was similar to the B-17/Model 307 evolution. In 1948, Boeing introduced the KB-29 tanker, followed in 1950 by the Model 377-derivative KC-97. A line of outsized-cargo variants of the Stratocruiser is the Guppy / Mini Guppy / Super Guppy, which remain in service with NASA and other operators. The Soviet Union produced 847 Tupolev Tu-4s, an unlicensed reverse-engineered copy of the B-29. Twenty B-29s remain as static displays, but only two, FIFI and Doc, still fly.[6] My fingers dont work anymore

This is why a Bomber Mode is needed. No enemy player fighters, instead you get attacked by AI with basic ammo belts. Points for flying in formation, navigation, the targets shift to secondary targets if the first is obscured by clouds, points for landing. Bombers were way tougher IRL than they are in game. At present, they're just kill farms for enemy fighters.

At takeoff take care not to overheat the engines and begin climbing only after reaching 280 mph to ensure sufficient airflow. In daytime climb gradually to 31,850 feet maintaining airflow to the engines before you enter hostile airspace! At max altitude level out to obtain maximum speed at about 350 mph. This is the best defense, because fighters can barely reach that altitude, and few can catch the B-29 at that altitude. Only the heaviest of anti-aircraft weapons can reach it, and without proximity fuzes, hitting or damaging the aircraft from the ground in combat is very difficult. Deliver the huge bombload from altitude and return to base by staying high until friendly airspace is reached. No shenanigans! 😂 Absolutely no shenanigans! 👀
