This plane definitely reminded me of why I got into War Thunder in the first place and what has kept me hooked for many years. Sometimes it's not about fancy MBTs, the fastest jet, high kill matches, or pulling off that impossible shot and sure those things do bring enjoyment. Sometimes you just need to fly a Rank 1 plane with some friends and cause chaos. We had a blast playing 1.3 Russian Air, I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!

Honestly same, I played for about 2 ish years now and that first year was literally just me pulling really stupid shit in low tier, it was a blast, got every country up to rank 3 air in no time while actually having -almost- fun, I only recently started to actually grind to top tier lol

It sucks they removed this plane from the regular tech tree, it was such a historically significant plane. Also about that comment at the beginning about planes doing hand to hand combat, it was actually a common tactic for early Soviet fighters such as I-16s early on in the war. I’m not sure if it was the I-16, but I think there was a plane that had reinforced landing gear for such purposes.

The TB-3 and Po-2 both deserve better than to be paraded around as event vehicles once in a blue moon. Cheap and bottom-tier as they are, both machines are icons of the Soviet front from start to finish.
