My doc said that you can build up an immunity to botox that after using for several decades that all the sudden it will no longer work. I decided to only use it when I really need it and mix it up with other treatment types. There are so many ways to address a skin problem.

Dr. Stephani, can you do a video or in your normal content speak to whether the options (lasers, etc.that you mention) are safe for melanated skin? I’ve heard that many lasers are not safe for black people skin so I would love to know your experience with treating WOC and maybe alternatives if the option isn’t safe.😊 Thanks so much! I 🩷 your content.

Hi Dr. Stephanie!it would be great to see a comprehensive explanation of which laser, and RF treatments work for Black women. I see your videos are super informative and help people understand how to approach cosmetic procedures but some procedures aren’t melanin friendly. Stuff like how to curb dark circles under eyes, skin tightening and dissolving facial fat. Thanks!

I’m new to your channel. I like to really learn as much as possible when it comes to facial rejuvenation before I go to my provider and get something done. Your videos are so comprehensive. They are long, but packed with detailed and in my opinion, vital information. You really are a gem! Thank you for taking time to educate the public on these topics.

Some doctors say so. But my number 1 concern above all cosmetic side effects/long-term effect is that Botox one of the most toxic neuro-toxins, of which just a couple drops can poison an entire river. But the cosmetic industry is a billion $ industry so the money behind the push is overshadowing everything

I need neck rejuvenation; it's happening suddenly and very quickly. I will be down there in March and was hoping to set up an appointment. Anyway, since your office cannot respond, is there someone or other people you recognize as good people.

Also, what is your opinion about nitrogen plasma for eyes, face, etc?

Question: I had dysport recently around my eyes to lift my hooded eye and under my eye due to volume loss. This was the second time I had dysport, although last time it was upper eye only and not many units. The second time I had a reaction including light sensitivity and severe dry eye. My eyes hurt and I was unable to wear my contacts until I got some prescription dry eye drops. My question is, does this mean I can never get this or something like it again or can I just try less units?
@carlieholt28269 ай бұрын
Did you comment on how many units of Botox is too many units in general if you treat several different areas, how many can we have before being at risk of Botox resistance?

Dr. Kappel, sorry to ask you a Thermage question on this video, but this video is the most current and I thought had the best chance of seeing my question and answering me. In one of your Thermage videos, you state that 900 pulses should be used per area. How many total pulses should be used if you are getting a full face (not including under the eyes) and the neck? I look forward to your answer!

Does botox do anything for migraines?
@liakogogidze29339 ай бұрын
Absolutely, if you have chronic migraines, tried it for that exact reason and found relief. The injections for migraines however are different than injections for cosmetic reasons and consist of 31 different injections into 7 different muscle areas, after which you may not feel benefits for a few weeks. Cosmetic injections can sometimes help on migraines too cause it is stopping the muscle mechanism that may contribute to triggering migraines, but do not cover all the areas of muscles associated, it’s best to talk to a neurologist or a specialist who also understands the use of Botox for migraines.

One wonders in 25 years what the effect will be from ALL these Botox & fillers?!? Brain tumors, paralysis, cancers & more --- 🧐
@Bexiboo.9 ай бұрын
Less issues than eating far too much sugar and UPF and as we know.... More people eat crap everyday and don't exercise than use Botox and fillers... But ... Everyone's choice is everyone's choice 🫠
@cleanslatemed9 ай бұрын
We know the answer because Botox has been in use since the 1950s to reduce muscle spasms. Overuse can result in muscle weakness or atrophy - there is no link to tumors, cancer, etc. in the 70+ years doctors have been using it. Fillers have been in use for cosmetic procedures since 1981 (over 40 years). A lot of these things are a lot older and a lot more studied than some people would think.

@@cleanslatemedyup, I was going to say something similar to this. Botox has already been used for over 25 years so it’s safer than the newer versions of neuromodulars.
