Россия. Пермь. Ботслаб w312 оправдывает все заявленные характеристики. Интересный, качественный продукт. Тестирую её 1,5 месяца. Единственный минус, когда пропадает wifi интернет, камера выключается, и даже не пишет на флешку. Поэтому к источнику интернета нужен постоянный ток. Посмотрим, как покажет себя зимой в минус 37-40°

No option to use PoE to power it? If there was that would make it a real contender to the big brands..

This is a great find... I need to know if it is Synology Surveillance compatible and I will upgrade.

From the paper specs, I believe you can connect it to synology via ONVIF which the camera supports, but I haven’t got experience in that myself!

Hey Stu, thanks for the review, I just ordered the camera. One question though, the iOS app has a remarkably low rating and pretty much every review is talking of serious problems with it. Most of those reviews are not brand new, did you encounter any problems with it or was everything working fine? Cheers.

No issues here, otherwise I’d have mentioned them! Checked the reviews on App Store out of interest… and to be honest, although I don’t know for sure, the issues seem like user error (can’t log in and bad connection). Let us all know how you get on with it yourself! 👍

@viewsUK Hey Stu, sorry to bother you again. The camera arrived and installation was already an immense pain and nothing worked until I realized I MUST give it location access. That done, it somewhat works. I cannot mount it onto a ceiling, instead I just placed it base down. Now the image is upside down and I can't find a way to rotate it 180°. Went through all options and checked the manual too. Is it possible this feature does not exists? Hard to believe though. UPDATE: I sent it back, can't use it upside down. Also I find the image quality way below what I was expecting, even in broad daylight it looks like cheap cameras did 10+ years ago.

Sadly I wonder how genuine these reviews are. Often manufacturer funded I fear. Guess the only way to find out is buy one. Many questions unanswered, the onvif for example and often these cheap dual antenna cams are actually one real one and one dud.

@@davidtjac I really like Stu's Reviews and they always felt honest to me. Not so sure anymore though, that camera was crap even for the relatively low price.

@bw-dude My reviews are always as honest and true to the experience i have whilst reviewing the product - My opinion in long form episodes is *never* for sale, that’s the promise I make to fans and the expectations I set with brands. Hence why i criticised both the DC method of powering and sharing my disappointment on a few of the software quirks such as the AI skill based store not telling you about compatibility. My content always follows the same pattern - talk about the specs, talk about what i like, talk about things i don't like and things that could be improved followed by a conclusion balanced on the former points, whilst considering the price of the product. To answer your points on the quality - you saw the quality from my demonstration, which i commented as being excellent for the price range. Sure there are higher quality security cameras... with a higher price tag. If the quality you had from yours was different to the quality i demonstrated, this could have been down to settings, poor connection or all manner of other things that could differ from my own setup (mesh network linksys with hardwired nodes, the closest node to the camera being about 2 meters away and through only a small wall). Obviously, i'm unable to test all factors, and can only review the product from my point of view and situation - and my conclusion is reflective of the experience i had - overall positive, especially for this being a budget product. Perhaps I set expectations too high, or perhaps you set your own expectations too high for what you could achieve with a security camera under £60, but from my vast experience with many different systems, this had me pleasantly surprised.
