Excellent video! Besides being patient enough and lucky enough to see what you filmed, you did an excellent job capturing the action as well as any documentary I've seen. The way you edited the music and shots of your wife and the guides, etc, were great. The video was uplifting! I'll be going on a similar trip next September and you've whetted my appetite. While we've been married a little longer than the two of you, 35 years, I hope this will be a great Safari Honeymoon for my wife and I also.

Magnificent, Bryan! Everything from narration, music choice, editing, and the entire presentation, was a masterful body of cinematic artwork. You truly have a calling and you may not even know it yet. I also want to congratulate both you and your bride. You look wonderful together. You put your audience right in the middle of it, you have quite the talent. I look forward to seeing anything else you put together. Sincerely, Chris

Great fil, really well shot 👏. I'm traveling to botswana in a couple of weeks and wanted advice on lens choices. How close do you get to animals in botswana, was the 70 200 more used or atleast frequently used?
@bryanrideout4 ай бұрын
I brought a 70-200mm and also a 2x teleconverter on an apsc camera. I started off with the teleconverter on and half way through the trip I took it off and just used the lens with the 70-200mm. We were plenty close!

Awesome video 👏🏽 What month was the trip?
@bryanrideout Жыл бұрын
August and September, it was a great time to go as the weather was cool and dry. It was very easy to see animals as most of the trees/brushes had shed their leaves.

Beautiful video. Did you miss 100-400 lense. Thank you.
@bryanrideout10 ай бұрын
We actually brought a 100-400mm lens with us on the trip and rented a 70-200mm f2.8. I truly miss the 70-200mm f2.8, it is an amazing lens!
@dilipkakkad226010 ай бұрын
I am in process to decide 100 400 vs 70 200 2.8 G plus x3 extender. Which way to go. Which setup you prefer. Thank you so much.
@bryanrideout10 ай бұрын
@@dilipkakkad2260 I brought the 70-200mm f2.8 lens with my Sony A6700 and a 2x teleconverter. I used the converter for the first couple days and then ended up taking it off for most of the trip as we were so close to the animals. I really only used the teleconverter when we were really far from animals but I had time to put the teleconverter on when they were so far away. So I would say the 70-200mm all the way.

If you had only 5-6 days where would you choose to go?
@bryanrideout11 ай бұрын
If you are looking to go for cats I would say Savute and Moremi. If you are looking for elephants and a beautiful water front I would say the Chobe riverfront.
