@hdmotsadi - Your problems were with Masisi not the BDP . If Ian Khama had contested this election the coalition would have not won. He’s promised to close down the American airbase yet keep the HIV & AIDs funded programs which have saved millions of lives. The Americans are have a lease which would sustain the Batswana long term ahead. This coalition is now going to surrender the country to the Chinese communist party corruption

Presidents 1,2,3 in my opinion propagated the country forward. They had the people in their hearts during their terms. Admittedly for them, they operated during a time when the BDP paternalism was widely accepted by the majority, and economic growth faced less challenges such as the pandemic and decreased demand for diamonds. Although I can imagine Number 1 had a massive challenge mapping a foundation for the country. But he laid it, and had close to marvellous execution. Number 4 acted like a paternalistic dictator who believed his lineage as a tribal chief and the son of the first president afforded him ownership of the country. Literally this man was handed all his “achievements” chieftaincy, bdp leadership, the bdf lieutenant general and the subsequent commander in chief as the president. He behaved like a toddler who threw tantrums when things didn’t go his way, and made a circus following his departure from the presidency. Number 5 is an intelligent, personable man with wit. He had his successes, and his failures. However his tenure was clouded by many dubious actions that I hope the government elect will form a corruption commission to investigate him, and number 4, as well as prominent members of their cabinets. Number 5 got drunk on power, forgot the person he sold to Batswana as he was campaigning, and became way too arrogant. Number 6, he is book smart. Let’s hope he has emotional intelligence. He seems to have grown as a man compared to his previous self last elections. Let’s hope he surrounds himself with more thoughtful people like his VP who are wise to advise him. Wish us well world 🇧🇼
