Heading out on a solo Bots trip in September. Went with friends in 2018 & it was the trip of a lifetime. There were many nights with lions roaring close to the campsite & also an elephant that came into our campsite. Solo its going to be quite a thrill. Cant wait!

On the highest point in the island (kubu), there are remains of human activity e.g beads, and stones used for grinding seeds

Yes I did read that in a research paper somewhere. But as I understand it from Mike Main’s investigation these where related to the initiation or hunting people that visited. There didn’t find much I the way of pots etc. indicating a settlement. Thanks for watching 🙏

Great videos! Planning a solo trip in Chobe in March. Your reflections and discussions are a great inspiration. In which month was your trip?
@troopyinafrica3 ай бұрын
@@emilu5425 Chobe will be magic! I went in August. Chobe is a nicely busy place so I imagine getting stuck might not be too much of an issue. But then there is the nights on your own. The mind tends to work over time rationalizing everything. I did take comfort being inside the Troopy. Thank you for watching.

Like your series. Just a question. You mentioned about the new gate @ kubu island. do you perhaps have GPS coordinates for it as I don't have track 4 Africa on my GPS
