@@matthewbosch2614 Mate, I would love to name and shame, in this video I only showed a portion of what he did to me and other people, it’s actually way worse. I am definitely not letting him do it to others but you don’t know what he’s like do you? He’s a violent and unstable person that’s willing to do physical harm to people. I am not going to risk that and are you also willing to pay my legal fees?

@@nielsmit9835 I do warn people, every person I meet I warn about this fella. Once again he is unstable and violent. I’ve been through enough with this now , I want to just put it behind me and move on. He basically killed this KZbin channel and caused me severe financial stress, it’s not as easy as just laying charges.

Thanks for taking us along on yet another epic adventure. We loved all three parts. My father travelled as a metallurgist to many locations in Namibia and always told us one never tires of the landscapes. Your footage is great and underlines that fact. Sorry for the misfortunes you had to face with your vehicle. Your guts and good attitude made the day

Hi Ed, sounds like your fuel tank has vacuumed. We had a similar issue with our GX. For some reason it stops breathing and so the punk just sucks the tank in. I would recommend drilling a small hole in the fuel cap lid which helps release some of the pressure. It’s also possible to fit fuel tank breathers and a slightly different pump.

If you lived in hoedspruit you wouldn't have this issue. The boys would have sorted you out chop chop. Name and shame and drag him to ombudsman if you have to. I had the same issue with my 95 rav4 with a dude in phalaborwa, who got snotty with me. Eventually got my car out of there and had a friend from witbank drive his rav4 all the way with no gearbox to come help with engine rebuild and it was absolutely fine since selling. Once they get snotty, that's a red flag for being dodge.

You should have asked the Namibians where to stay. My husband worked in the Owambo, Kaprivi, Rundu area you name it he was there. For about 30 years now. We stay in Otjiwarongo though. But still works there. But he came across places that was so beautiful. Maybe next time. He took the family to Rundu. Breathtaking. Where you were was not so nice. And a lot of birds. My son was in heaven and took a lot of bird photos. But beautiful place you have been.

Unsure what path you took but from Epupa Falls to Purros Canyon camp but Google maps suggests C43 and then branching off to D3705. Isn't this a better quality road/dirt track? I appreciate you want to tackle some challenging tracks, etc. but for those of us with less capable vehicles and off road driving skills, not travelling in a convoy, etc. I wonder if there is 'an easier, safest, etc. alternative route' to get to these locations.

I wish though you could share videos of your trips (yourself, Chris and Ryan) firstly on your individual channels so we can first enjoy the trips from your different points of view before watching a "summary" of the trip on Overlanding Escape.. which would be more of bringing your views together (Sorry if that sounds a bit entitled)

Great video again Ed, thank you, like others have said name and shame the cowboy. Appreciate you have to have ads, however the number was a bit excessive for me and made hard to watch.

Thank you for the awesome comment and feedback. I’ve removed some of the ads, unfortunately it’s the only way we earn peanuts and raisins here. Thank you for the support

Would be nice to know the mech so we don't fall in the same trap. Obviously there would be legal implications mentioning the company name.

It' stinks that you had to go through that terrible situation with both your Landcruisers. I hope it all turns out well for you. Another great video. My 100 series is having the same starting issues as yours. Is yours fixed now and what parts did you have to replace?

I had to get the injector pump and injectors redone and it solved the problem. He took my working pump and injectors out and replaced them with faulty ones

Its rather sad that no matter the age or milage of your vehicle its better to take it to the dealer to get serviced. I have experienced and heard of many horror stories of so called experts/fundis servicing vehicles and awful customer care.

The best advice ever. The regular Toyota servicing had been carried out flawlessly by Rivonia Toyota since we purchased the 100 in 2000. It had never missed a beat in 400,000 k’s of general driving and overlanding. We thought that by taking our pride and joy to a “specialist” it would get extra special care. Worst and most expensive mistake ever! 😡 Fortunately, Gerard and Henko at Rivonia have managed to restore both the 100 and 200 to perfect condition.
