Thanks! It's been difficult getting back to videos. Sometimes it's the heat. Sometimes I can't find the right topic. I'll keep trying anyway. Cheers

Nice and simple opener Cip... well explained, I like making wood gadgets ie table saw sleds, veneer rings etc from clips I've seen on You Tube. I'll make a few of these for xmas and might even set a small magnet into it to catch the bottle top. Thank you..

Howdy Mike! I too like making things I can use often. It is a great feeling to go to someone's home and see that they still have and use something I made. Cheers..

There are some similar wooden openers out there and I was gonna go with the one which is slightly bulkier than this one, and uses a coin as the opening mechanism. However, after seeing you physically open a bottle cap with your design, it just look like a more comfortable fit in the hand. It feels more compact and seems to fit naturally in the hand. So I have changed my mind and am going to go with your design. From an ergonomic perspective, I think its perfect. Cheers Cip. ( I will make a few of these and maybe experiment by using small coins as the opener, but also use a carriage bolt and compare the 2 ) 👍 📐🔩🔨

hi Cip, why you haven't used a small washer with screw and epoxi instead of the giant bolt? I like so much the designo of your opener
@CipsWoodChips2 жыл бұрын
Howdy Gaetano! Yes, that will work also. I want it to look rustic, maybe built by a mechanic with limited woodworking skills, cheers.
