I really enjoyed your video .... it would have been great to see the screen adapter board you talked about. Great music ... very simple and clear explanation about the differences between a solid and screened bottom board. Thanks!

Do you close your screened bottom boards for winter? That is, do you place the white cardboard insert in when it gets below 20 degrees or so? A nice experiment would be to close some and leave some open over winter. I'm in zone 5 so it gets cold in winter. Thank you so much for your excellent videos.

I'm in zone 5 as well, and I have tried experimenting both ways. So far, I've had no problems, and actually healthier bees when keeping the bottom boards open. Anymore, I just leave them open. Moisture in the hive is a significant factor in winter and leaving the bottoms open seems to help.

For some reason, on some of my videos people watching with headphones have a problem hearing it. Also, make sure your volume mixer (when youtube is open) has the master volume or youtube volume up. Is this the only video your having problems with (of mine)? Thanks for watching.

I've had this problem with a lot of Honey Bee Honey's videos, the sound level fluctuates. The title or voice-over tends to be clear, but when speaking directly to the camera...it's like the sound is coming from the other side of a tunnel. It'll probably take some microphone placement experimentation to address. But it hasn't deterred me from watching. I just turn on the CC.
