Melanson is awesome teacher. Learned more about bottom half-guard in this single video 17 min video than in past 2 years of youtube instructional videos combined.

Neil is a scientist, always shows what he does, what he doesn't, and thoroughly explains Why.

🤙 you actually teach REAL stuff that could work in (mma) or the streets. Unlike 90 percent of people do. yeah somebody thats at least decent can beat the average person on the streets if they tussle on the ground to long but Alotttt of people even black belts cld get seriously hurt in a REAL street fight trying to get submissions from the BOTTOM. Because they will panic when punches is thrown at them. Especially by somebody thats way bigger than them. Its not the same as PRACTICE or some ji jitsu tournament etc.

You probably won't even comprehend most of the points he's making unless you're a purple belt or higher.

Neil looks like a really big dude---look at his forearms/hands compared to his partner's.
