"you can stand either here or over here and you can improvise and do what ever you feel it works for that specific area". Yeah, great directing skills. And having someone to tell you what aperture and speed to use, great skills all around. 3 minutes of my time I won't get back.

Excellent work, very good results for such a small camera. I have one of those Rolleis, but it isn't easy to guess the distances to focus. Thanks for sharing.

Well done. Back in 1983 I used a Minox 35GT a lot. I think it's even smaller than the Rollei. Great camera. I used most Kodak Tri-x, at 800 ASA. A famous swedish photographer, Christer Strömholm, used the same camera.

I have the SE version which has the Sonnar lens. The quality of the lens is astonishing. The aperture wheel does not lock since its infinitely variable aperture can easily be used to nail the correct exposure. In time you shall learn to keep your fingers out of the way, but a small piece of blutac on the left side of the wheel will prevent movement. I would have used F5.6 set to 8 feet@ 1/30s. With a 40 mms lens and a quiet and vibration free leaf shutter you can easily shoot at 1/8s. Excellent results, and photos and your model very much reminded me of an old friend. PS: it's worth getting the light meter looked at. These cameras are very sought after and a collector's piece for some, plus the fact that they produce outstanding results. Great job, Julia and red suits you!!!

If you can find one, the Rollei 35 SE had a better Sonnar lens. Also a Contax with a Sonnar lens is really good.

Great set. Zone Focus is the fastest way to shoot once you learn distance and become proficient (maybe 5-6 rolls) What film was used. Cinematic 200 is what? Kodak BWXX, Orwo? Please make the book affordable.

Hello 👋🏻 Thank you for the feedback. The film was a motion picture 35mm film came in a reel. No branding on it, but it’s similar to the CineStill brand. I want to hear your feedback on the book being affordable. What country are you from and what price is considered affordable? This will help me to find the right publisher with the best price.

great camera and challenge, Fyi, the words "movie" or Cinema film mean this B&W is NOT D76 process, like normal 'Ilford' films, it is processed via cine methods called ECN-2 and you NEED to let the lab know this, as like LF sheet film a anti-halation layer exists on this emulsion, which must be removed, and can contaminate stop and fixer, so this is why you MUST let the lab know, as if they just see 'B&W' and an asa, they assume D76 [Ilford ID-11] automatically.

The model is beautiful, but extremely constrained and stood in a closed pose most of the time.
