I admire your patience and I love the purple color of the bougainvillea. Btw, the three cactus rose plants that we bought after watching your videos are doing great. We brought them in for the winter but we need to repot them again, I guess, by now. Thanks for your videos.

Well I'm 3 weeks in and have about a 75% success rate. Not bad for my first time. Can't wait for 6 weeks and see how they will transplant into pots. I am based in Thailand so perfect weather. I did accidentally move a large piece that was growing well and I noticed there ere no roots at the bottom of the stump so not sure how it's growing so well. Will the roots be there is 6 weeks? Thanks for posting and for all your help. I'm hooked now.
@fishmut3 жыл бұрын
I would leave it alone till it developes it’s roots what ever time it needs or you might risk losing it , same as all cuttings , just be patient.
@THAIWAK3 жыл бұрын
@@fishmut Many thanks for advice. I will try to be patient as I don't want to ruin the cuttings. Looking great after about 5 weeks. Stay safe!

Thanks for share your videos, one question, I have a bougambilia that never produce flowers; can you share an advice ?? I apreciate any information
@VictorAtomic8 ай бұрын
You may be cutting them too short. The "flowers" are actually the plants' leaves changing colors. So, if you are constantly trimming the plant, you are cutting the sections that would turn colors. The real Bougainvillea flowers are actually small white flowers at the end of the stem. My mother-in-law had the same issue until I told her to stop trimming back the plant so heavily.

It’s all about patience and persistence, isn’t it? I have huge bougainvillea bushes that I have to keep cutting back so they don’t swallow my house. Maybe I’ll try this with some of the offcuts.
