I had an 04 LS 430 UL, traded it in 2017 for a 2014 LS 460 F-sport. I want my 430 back in the worst way. If I didn't pump so much money into the 460 and I wasn't at war with my HOA, I'd buy another 430 in the morning. The best car ever made!!

@@BWItoATXF The wear items costs as much as a house deposit and I'm not even kidding. I love the look of the car and that it's the last NA V8 is the only reason I'm keeping it. My quote for the control arm overhaul with OEM parts was $7k, I got it done for almost $5k, then we have the air suspension which that was under warranty so I dodged that bullet. So in 2024 I had the Valley Plate reseal (this job will make you sick to your stomach cause the injectors sometimes snap during the repair and the injectors are like $400 a pop and I think we have like 8 or 16...), OEM control arms, tie rod ends, High pressure fuel pump reseal, VCG, brakes 2x (F-Sport brakes are EXPENSIVE) and tires... all wearable items and I'm embarassed to tell you how much I spent in total for 2024. That why she's in my garage and I'm shopping for a 430.

@@BWItoATXF Believe me it was a hard decision, I had figure out ways to make the cash disappear without "Mrs. Boss" asking questions. When the LS is all clean and you open that V8 up you fall in love all over again. That's the only reason I kept her and well not too many F-Sport 460's around. But I want the simplicity of the 430, I miss that car, it's a way better build, higher quality too, I'm so jealous!!

You also have smart key, just touch the door handle to unlock, and turn the ignition to start without putting needing to put the key in. 👍 Telescoping steering might just need lubricated. If you can push or pull the wheel, and press the switch the same direction, it may move okay. Had one for year and half it’s amazing car.

Great pickup with the Facelift 04. After having an 05’ UL with radar cruise I agree these are amazing even after all these years. You are right with that color combo 🤩 You are good with the interval for the belt. If the belt and pump was asin quality. I believe mine had between 200k miles on it and it was still solid when I replaced it.
@BWItoATXF4 күн бұрын
Thanks man! I believe so as well. I know age is part of the interval but if it rarely saw heat/operation, it makes sense to push it. I’ll keep an eye on it and assess at age interval. It was replaced at the dealer with all OEM parts.

@ you are solid then. I am jealous that you have one and I had to unload mine. I did a few little repairs on my channel with the door lock solenoid and the front bushings. Even my 2017 Lexus RX350 F-Sport with 90K miles on it, has not even a single rattle or squeak when the AVS is in the stiffest setting going over ice patches and other bumpy surfaces. Your steering wheel tilt and telescope motor sounds like it is on its way out with the squeaking noise it makes. Mine made that noise before it stopped working.

@@BWItoATXF The telescopic motor fix looked pretty daunting to me. The tilt motor, not too difficult. I got the wheel where I liked it and pulled the fuse. Works for me. Maybe one day, but it's either $1,800 to fix, or DIY using youtube videos, and hope you don't mess it up.

@BWItoATXF3 күн бұрын
Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s been garage kept all of its life. I could see it through the pics the seller sent too. The detailer in me knows that the very light micromarring can be easily cut out with a good polish. Still has OEM air.
@turnne3 күн бұрын
@@BWItoATXF Nice that it still has OEM air suspension. Someone spent a LOT of money on this car, as I am sure the air suspension has been replaced at some point. Most of the time with air suspension this old, owners will do coil overs due to the $5000-7000 it costs to redo the OEM air suspension
@BWItoATXF3 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, this is OEM with no record. I’m on bought time. Probably go aftermarket air whenever that time comes.
@turnne3 күн бұрын
@@BWItoATXF Understood. I used to own a Hyundai Equus for about 8 years. Lease return that was still in factory warranty. The suspension went out under warranty and the cost would have been $6K to repair, if I would have had to pay at the dealership. I never had any other issues with the suspension and sold it to a friend. But I warned him about the suspension costs should it go out.
@BWItoATXF3 күн бұрын
Yeah the air was one of the reasons I was originally steering away from the UL as it is a liability. OEM air is still very expensive. 3,200 parts on a good day for all 4 corners. I know there is always debate about OEM/aftermarket air. But as someone who has rode coils for well over a decade, I can’t imagine any differences bother me.
