This town was set up to house the workers who built the Hoover Dam, back in the early 1930s. Today around 15,000 people live here. Its one of two towns in Nevada that gambling is illegal.
Las Vegas is 26 miles away. The town's name comes from Boulder Canyon where the Hoover Dam was built.
