I watched this live on the olympic channel, in english and there was also a female commentator, no idea who she was but she wasn't a climber that's for sure and it was absolutely excruciating to listen to. I kid you not, at one point she actually said that climbers where putting on honey on their hands when talking about liquid chalk... I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Somebody must have trolled her pretty hard with that, because I can not imagine how one would pull out such nonsense out of ones ass. I was really contemplating about clipping that and putting it on reddit for the communal LULZ but it's just to much effort. I'm sure it's still up there in the VOD, so if your looking to cash in on some sweet meaningless internet points, look into it. I know I'd love to hear that nonsense again xD

A bouldering comp in Alabama in the summer? Travel from all over the world to get those good conditions 👍
@jjns39916242 жыл бұрын
Just keep traveling…flying all over the world to climb on plastic!! Ignore the fact that crags are burning up because of global warming. We gotta grow the sport after all.

@@LuckyFireFive oh i thought it was just how they spoke in alabama
Amazing competition and boulders! But oh damn, this male commentator... Every time the poor lady commentator spoke, this guy would interrupt every 1 second with "hay" and "eee". For fucks sake let the woman speak for a second man!!!
@jchillweek642 жыл бұрын
I'm by no means an expert, but I'm pretty sure these "hay" interjections are normal in japanese conversation, signaling that you are listening and paying attention.

dafuq? but you realised they speak Japanese, right? Cause apparently you didn't realised that you have no clue what this ""hay"" and ""eee"' means...

Hey George, how about you stop being so racist and xenophobic for a change? Don't you understand that interrupting women is an important part of many cultures all over the world? Sorry, just having fun. I didn't even know ehat you were talking about initially; I had the volume turned down. I barely listen to the commentary in general, but given that it's in a language that I literally do not understand, I'd rather just watch the comp and listen to a podcast or music or whatever.
