hi, do you have any advice on how to bond back 2 pieces of tortoise shell? I have a small box made out of tortoise shell (around 4 x 2 x 2 cm) and the top of the box has broken in 2 straight pieces. I just dont want to use modern solutions (epoxy, acrylic, cyanoacrylate, etc) and I was wondering if’something more traditional can be used (fish, rabit, pork, etc) to bond the pieces back together? thanks a lot.

Fascinating trio of videos. Thanks so much for publishing. Is there any chance that you could add a fourth. At 18:25 you mentioned ionic cleaning. How is this done on something this size? I have a boulle and ormulu clock just waiting for the answer!!

Hi, can you please say what proportions are you using of the carnauba wax and beeswax, so you can mix it with paint and use to fill gaps. I tried many diffrent proportions, but I cannot get it right as it is either too soft, too brittle or changes the collour of added paint after drying and forming pinkish skin on the top. After trying for few days, I still cannot get this right and I serched the interner, but there is nothing about this.
