I’m heading to morehead this afternoon. Hoping they will be around this weekend. Haven’t had much luck the last few weekends. I’ve been using shrimp.

Too late in the season for shrimp. Sand fleas, crabs or sea urchins will produce. Good luck.

Mr. Kilter, Can you give me an idea where I can find Mud Crabs and / or sea urchins ? I have looked by the Harkers Island shrimp fleet dock at low tide and in the back of the island on the grass flats and jetty barriers agin at low tide. I prefer getting my own bait if I can , I just have a 16' skiff and am only looking for dinner for my wife and me. Getting tired of Spanish Macks plus they don't keep. Thanks Ken

This is a shackle that I cut and sanded to make a tie off hook. Works pretty good.

Are you fishing closer to the AB side of the channel or the opposite on those further columns?

I don’t live in AB but I come to fish often. I don’t have a lot of time to spend on catching the mud crabs so I was wondering if I can catch them on a rainy day or maybe the day we’re leaving to come back home and freeze them or do they need to be fresh and alive?

Keep them alive, they live for a week or more. Keep them moist and in a cool place. Good luck.

Sir I enjoy watching your videos im a sheepshead fishing enthusiast’s but i live in Charlotte and also dont have a boat you have two videos of you fishing sheepers from the bank is there anyway you could point me in the right direction im planning a trip for tomorrow morning

I don't give up spots, look for deep water with structure near an inlet. Ocean fishing piers are holding Sheepshead right now. It's still kind of early but there are some fish around.

Is that people are so irresponsible that they be leaving trash and ruining the fishing spots for everyone but thanks

I can't reveal those spots but you can certainly find sand fleas, they are up and plentiful along the beach front. Good Luck.
