To our Black Youth...Put down the guns and pick up the skates like we use to do back in the day... the antidote to frustration, worry, and negative thinking is having fun, joy, and laughter. Skating can bring all of this to your soul!
@valvacious27936 жыл бұрын
Yes, everyone needs to have employment! BUT before you can secure that job you have to go in with the Right Spirit. You have to be OPEN and RECEPTIVE to learn. I have see many of the younger youth walk around with a snarl on their faces with a mean attitude instead of having a smile and an attitude of gratitude. You got to wake up thanking God that you are alive. Some of our youth, have a Narcissistic, Aggressive Spirit. Remember, You are what you consume through your ears, eyes, and mouth. You become what you consume the most. If your dominate focus is on listening to Gangster rap music and violent video games...your spirit will reflect that. Go have some clean fun like skating. Skating and dancing can bring you joy and laughter. Replace the negativity emotions with positive emotions and you will feel better and then go look for that job! You will feel more energized and less defeated. You will have a smile on your face and have a pleasant spirit to meet the HR guy.

I would have a different girl every couples skate. Black girl, Italian girl, white girl, Puerto Ricans. Man, I don’t know what happened to those days, but I miss them

It's not over... The human body is amazing. Skating you already know keeps you fit and fucking happy as hell. When we get older people have "old age" bullshit issues due to not being ACTIVE. IF you stay active you can stay fit as hell for a very long time, 60,70, 80 years old even. you will move, be coordinated and strong, you wont' look like a teen or a 20 years old, but you will look fit and in shape and be strong. You won't be clumsy and goofy and stumbling because you gave up on living like many have.

Well, Sissy I was like you until they played my skating song. Now, one of my brothers could flip, dance, and turn. I would get so tickled seeing him. We had fun though didn't we. We started out skating on the streets. Have a great weekend. This takes me back as well.

Wow, this was bringing me back in time. I started reading the comments below and I am so proud of all the wonderful expressions of good fun and Love. I agree we need FUN in our lives again. Skate night and bowling nights were fun back then. Thank you all for the trip down memory lane. Much Love and Aloha !

Without you going skating and someone saying I'm not a boy or I'm not a girl or shooting and killing everyone being politically correct about their gender. And not just having fun just having fun

And it wasn't that long ago.....What happened? Anyway, glad I was able to be a part of the REAL things of life where people just had fun....no criticism, no violence, just Bounce, roll, skate, and some funk to make it all happen! Mmm. Mmmm... Oh. And JESUS was always real in our lives. Can't leave HIM outta this. It's HIS absence that's causing the problems. People need to put HIM in the Center of their lives and watch the Peace just roll on in.
