Shitting hell, this vid spoke to me big time. Love the text at the end. I thought I would be a slave to my traumas forever. As an early teen, I was sexually abused by a family member on average once a week for almost two years. Not long after that I found out my Dad wasn't my biological father. I was already deep in alcoholism/drug addiction at this point. Thanks to a combination of rehab, incredible friends and an ayahuasca ceremony, I feel like I've consigned much of my pain to history. I never want to forget it, otherwise the lessons and strength I've gained from it will be lost, but I've also taken the power back that it had over me. I choose when the pain arises so it can be a teacher rather than a slavemaster. I'm 3 years sober now and I feel like a happy, grateful person. If i can do it anyone can, but you have to admit defeat before you can actually win. That's the paradox that a lot of people fail to grasp. Reach out to anybody, even me. Find the light. We're all brothers and sisters.

This EP is great, but this is the weakest song on it (despite a video with a message of support for the troubled). Once in a while, a downtempo song is ok, but I'm hoping the future doesn't have BIF joining the ranks of HLB or BT pandering to the depressed and damaged with endless "Oh bother" music.
