I think it was Blackie Thomas who on his channel suggested turning the pot 90 degrees on the stand so they are perpendicular. It gives better air flow and keeps the handle from being heated up.

Another point, Bail handles. What I do with my Zebra billy cans is to cut them off with a Dremel then replace the bail with brake cable. Works just as well, but is flexible so it's easier to pack.

First thing I did was heat up the stove base with my first twig fire and once I got my water boiling, and I dumped it in to make my coffee I picked up the stove base off the fire with a pair of pliers and took a pair of needle nose, pliers, and grabbed that lowered rim at the top of the stove and bent it up an eighth of an inch at all Four corners so that when I put it back on the fire, put the canteen cup back on top of it there’s now a little gap between the bottom of the canteen cup and the top of the stove which allows the hot gases and flame to come out, which gives it a much more effective burn and shortens boil time

Concerning the Pathfinder set, you remarked at 10:20, "I WISH I could get this in titanium". Reminds me of something my grand-dad always used to say, "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride". Somehow it always struck me as a funny observation. :-)

If you cut a piece of SS mesh to sit on the top of the stove (Sized to fit in the recess that the cup/pot sits in) you could use any shape of cup safely on it.

If you want put carbon felt on the handles of the cook pot so you don't have to burn yourself. I'm glad there is a bail handle. You can also fold the small handles up while cooking.

I think the best setup to combine the two cooksets (boundless voyage) is this from bottom to the top: pan, windscreen, pot and canteen. Test this if you like and let me know. Thanks.

I bought this set and an Oasis canteen based on your review. Thank you for an excellent and educational video! If you turn the cup sideways they ALL work with the BV stove . WHICH BTW- has MUCH larger feeding port than the PF stove easily making up for the lack of larger air ports! The Helikon E&E Pouch was my choice as well! Bill Doyle

Titanium is a great conductor and when removed from heat it will cool quickly. As for removing it from the heat, the top handle will remain cool so can remove it from the heat.

Thanks buddy. I’ve been looking at these sets to go with my Nalgene Canteen but was never sure if they would fit. You’re right I think I would go with the two pot set rather then the bail handle. I have the round BV Ti pot set 1000/500 that I use with my Svea123r stove, great combo with that stove. I also have the Heavy Cover Canteen with a CenterLine Systems Mother carrier 👍. Have you checked out BV’s new canteen with the double pot set, looks pretty nice. Ti15158B-Canteen Cook Set

If draft/heat transfer becomes an issue, a trick I've used with the GI issue stove should work. Take a length of coat hanger wire and bend into a "C" shape that hooks into the vent holes at the top of the stove. Makes for a stable place for the cup to sit and allows better draft.

Best kidney shaped mess kit is german. It include two or three part, in little bit larger volume. Foltable pot stand fit its inside. Pliers handle is good with it.

Just can't see that ti stove using wood. It will smoke like a bastard. Not promising w/ Esbit or alcohol either. I'm assuming an Esbit type alc. stove will fit under it??? The Pathfinder stove is the absolute best design out there w/the raised circles for heat to escape out the top and it doubles as a grill surface. Non-removable bail is poor design. Overall, great material....perhaps poor design for mixing their product w/everything else that is out there. Too bad....lost opportunity I feel. Looking fwd to your fire /alcohol/solid fuel testing. Thanks

It's made in China but not that expensive if you try and not it directly from Alibaba. I bought a 750 ml pot with lid and Alcohol Stove. Shipping charges were higher.

Hi, if you put the Oasis in the Titanium Stove Kit Pot, the Mess Kit fits over the top of the Oasis? then you would have 3 containers and a bottle in one Setup

The cup is great . But , stove is terrible ? I use plastic canteens with the path finder cup and stove ...Get the one with holes drilled on top and it all will work and fit your regular canteen pouch..

You showed a number of combinations, the nesting combination I was curious would work would be the pathfinder canteen with the boundless voyage canteen pot with handle and the pathfinder canteen stove on the bottom. The stove doesn't seem to have enough air holes. Could drill some more but that might compromise the structure of such a flexible stove.

The shape of the canteen is different from most other canteens so it will not fit in this stove set.

There are 2 two cup sets that Boundless Voyage sells. One is the standard peanut or kidney shaped. The other one is the more rectangular version. The canteen will fit on the more rectangular version, not the other one that is a traditional shape.

I’m not sure, but is suspect it will not due to the different shape of the canteen. I should know for sure in a week or two, I have the Pathfinder Titanium canteen set on order which is the rebranded Boundless Voyage canteen set. Stay tuned to my channel, I will post a video when I get the new canteen.

But does the 1.5L boundless voyage mess kit pot (that comes with frypan/cup and lid nest down into the pot stand? They modeled the 1.5L pot off the German/swedish style WW2 mess kit, but didn’t provide a stove stand for a trangia burner using the pot stand as a windshield…major error imo, also they made it different dimensions to the original mess kit pots so you can’t use the original (or reproduction) alcohol stove stands with the 1.5 boundless pot! Even if the stove stand is a bit short in terms of height to fully surround the 1.5L pot, it could at least have a couple of holes drilled in the stand for a length of wire to go through and hold the 1.5L pot up off a trangia at the ideal height, at least a couple of inches could be down in the windshield and concentrate heat around the bottom sides of the pot rather than just the base of it?

Nah I checked, the width of the 1.5L pot is wider than the 800ml stove…it may be made to fit if the 800ml stove was cut down through the front and forced to flex open a bit then the 1.5L pot is pushed down into it? 🤔 it only needs to insert (nest) down into the stove stand so an alcohol burner has enough room to bloom up under the base of the pot and up around the bottom inch or two plus have the stand act as a wind shield too
