That dark purple gomphrena is beaded into garland in my country n brothers wear it during bhaitika (worship of brothers for their long life). It is believed that since gomphera never withers so life of brothers will not wither too

Okay maybe a bouquet bar is what I need to do with my flowers. I don’t want to get big or anything I just want to grow flowers and share the joy with others. The bouquet bar is such a fun idea. I’m on the shy side tho so I will definitely need music or something so it doesn’t get awkward. 😂 Also I can not wait for the Gladiolus sale. I’m just buying all my bulbs thro you and Jake now 😂

Sweet William is a perennial here in Minnesota zone 4 it’s my 3rd year that it comes out for me, the first year was only leaves but 2nd and third beautiful flowers😊

I had sold gift certificates to people earlier in the season specifically for Bouquet Bars so I had to host a couple to fulfill my customer's expectations. In future years any bouquet bars will be held at the nursery!

Another successful bouquet bar, Nicole. Flowers are just gorgeous. They were a long time coming…..but wow are they amazing. I know the one thing you have little of is time these days, but if you have a few minutes to rest and watch a video may I suggest Linda Vater’s Garden Boutique video. This place in Oklahoma City is really something special. Definitely not something that would work in your rural community……really needs to be in an affluent area, but there may be some ideas you could use at your nursery at some point….on a much more affordable scale. There are just nice little touches throughout the plant areas that really standout and give the customers an opportunity to see how things can be combined or grouped together whether outdoors or houseplants. If nothing else I think you will enjoy touring this place with Linda……although I strongly suspect your mind will be flooded with ideas……being the creative person you are. I enjoyed it so much I may just bring it up on my big screen TV sometime to get a better look at everything. It’s a real WOW! 😊💖🦋🕊

Spectacular array of a variety of flowers. Enjoy your customers trying to decide which flowers to choose. One can almost distinguish the country girl from the sophisticated modern gla one based on the flowers they put in their bouquets. Lots of fun. Wish I lived close by. Was wondering if it might be worthwhile for you to completely eliminate the $15 CSA bouquets. The amount of time, effort and stationery you spend on those is almost the same as your $20 ones. Just a thought.

Hey Nicole I’m growing in zone 5 northeast pa near scranton. My zinnias- I have like 300 plants are slooooow. Buds galore but taking forever to bloom. I’m fertilizing watering and killing beetles but the gals are taking their sweet time! I’ve had some but I should be in zinnia Heaven by now! Like 1 month behind last year! How are yours? You are even colder zone. There was Not a ton of warm nights this summer. Is it me or are you having the same experience. Thanks.
